Things To Do In Eidfjord, Norway, Including A Food Truck Surprise!

It is. There are several trails within walking distance. That's one of the great things about Norway, you're never far from a hike!

Can you get tickets for the train ahead of time or do you buy ticket there? How long is the train ride? Thank you for posting this so that us soon to be travelers have an idea of what to do out side of very expensive cruise tours. Much appreciated. We are going in August . Do you know what the weather would be like? Not quite sure how to pack! Thank you in advance for your help and your time. Charlene

You just buy the tickets at the tourist info office at the port. There should be plenty. The ride itself takes about 1 1/2 hours. Expect cool temperatures and intermittent rain. A light jacket that's rainproof or windbreaker should work ok. Have a great trip!
