Hi, great show look forward to reading vol 2 , really admired Paul’s attitude after the Beatles , he was all about the music , not diverting into other areas .

Thanks, Ken & and Darren, for a great interview. I can listen to this Again...and Again...thanks Adrian & Allan! Sorry for the first response a few days ago. These 2 books rock and have been wonderful for this diehard since 1976. Jimmy Mac. altercarions/ fights with Paul happen frequently over the 3 years he was in Wings. We fans had no idea during those years, kept hush hush. Amazing revelations and shows Paul had the patience of a saint with the talented but troubled guitarist.

Excellent book(s) guys. Really enjoying Volume 2, but a bit of a conundrum on how to read it as I instinctively want to devour it, but yet I know Volume 3 will only be along in a while. Looking forward to that one, especially as that's where I came in as a fan.

Thank you so much for the wonderful interview Darren Allan, Ken and Adrian. I was shocked to learn how depressed Paul was when he was trying to make Wings 🪽 Mach two 2️⃣ work with Geoff Britton and Jimmy. Also I was surprised 😳 to learn how insecure he felt about following up Band on the run with Venus and Mars they are both stupendous albums.

I saw Wings on the last tour in 1979. It was at The Rainbow in London. I had seen Wings many times going back to the 1973 tour. There was something a bit off about this gig. The didn't seem to be much enthusiasm and fun as before. Paul didn't really seen into it and even complained about his sound guy in between songs. I had never heard that before from Paul. I thought maybe he had just had an off night but things weren't quite right. Cheers from the UK 🇬🇧

During the 1979 tour, Paul - and everyone else - was frustrated by a buzz that no-one seemed able locate the source for or get rid of, until very near the end of the tour. Because of that, and because the firm doing the suggested limits to what they were willing to do, or spend, to fix it, Paul ended up canceling their participation in the Japan tour (that ultimately didn't happen), and hired Showco instead -- but by then, the first company's sound rig was on the way to Japan. Paul ended up paying the transportation for both, but he was adamant that they stop using the first company. But he actually has been known to complain -- subtly -- about sound problems from the stage. On a number of bootlegs from the 1975-76 tour, there were feedback problems, and at at least one of those shows, he quietly said "Ladies and gentlemen, Morris Lyda" -- naming the engineer who was responsible for the monitoring. All this is in the book, so check it out!
