Thanks for the info, Rion! When I visited Tokyo back in February, I was confused by the trains, so I used the airport limousine bus which was about 1000 yen. Now that I know how to use the trains, I can take that next time and save some money.

Haneda Airport is very clean and well organized and I am amazed when I visited last October 2019. It was my first international flight and it was priceless.

Mixed emotions watching this Rion.. I love your videos, but today had to start the official process to reclaim my cancelled ticket to Japan. Should have been in Kyoto a month from now to see the autumn leaves. 😭. Hopefully next year.

Hi, Rion! Very useful video going from Haneda to Hamamatsuchō Station, and then on to Tokyo Station! You also had a very good explanation and demonstration of getting a SUICA card and topping it up with cash. Do you know if debit cards can be used on the SUICA terminals to buy cards and add money?

If I remember correctly from my trip last year, debit cards couldn't be used, only cash.

@@diedraunderwood1114 That is what I understood, too, Dierdra, but Tokyo has been trying to expand the use of debit cards in the run up to the Olympics to accommodate foreign travelers, so I wondered if it had been implemented yet for SUICA in particular. I think Loretta over at KemushiChan briefly touched on this in one of her vids.

For now, unfortunately still they only accept Cash😖 If you have a mobile suica on the APP, you can charge it by credit card though😉

Hi Rion, when you come back to Osaka, can you please go to Kyoto and visit the Kyoto Tachibana Senior High school. It is about the school marching band and Tachibana became famous because the way they dancing while playing the instruments. I think will be nice and fun for all the fans they have around the world.

Yes, Haneda is close to the city, but Narita airport has many trains and busses to get you into Tokyo.

Rion, I see the date of this video is October 15, 2020. As of today (February 13, 2023) I think we can finally say the pandemic is winding down. Travel to Japan is open from many countries, and tourists have been coming in by the boatloads!!

Thanks you for your sharing Rion and very good explanation. Insha'Allah one day I and family come traveling visit to Japan landing at Haneda Airport/Narita Airport, firstly I buy SUICA Cards and WiFi router rental for going anyway around Tokyo.

Haneda is convenient but usually international flights will use Narita. For example from Hong Kong to Tokyo on Cathay pacific, Haneda ticket price is double of Narita. ANA flies Haneda for CX narita price.

One thing you should do at the airport is yes do buy Suica but also get a 72 hour Tokyo pass. It is only available for tourists and you will save a lot of $$$ 😎.
