this series is so cool I love it, thank you! Somali cats are so gorgeous. When I was a vet tech, our office manager was an Abyssinian breeder so I've always loved the looks/ personalities of Abyss + Somalis. Summer is such a smart, pretty kitty! PS I absolutely adore Ragdolls too ;)

All Scottish Fold Cats with folded ears are affected by osteochondrodysplasia, also known as Scottish Fold disease which is a pain disorder. Scottish Fold disease affects cartilage throughout the cat's body and can cause serious issues such as arthritis. :( they’re wonderful pets but the mutation that makes their ears fold shouldn’t be continued if it means they’re in pain all the time.

Watching this for the second time and almost crying. As much as love my big black shelter cat, wo loves me very, very much too, this makes me miss my beautiful Max that much more. Look up Mittsnpaws Miromax--we adopted him after he retired from showing at 3; he was close by my side for all of his remaining 13 years.

The Red shown was another Ruddy. The color is now called Cinnamon, it is a brilliant orange-red with a wash of light brown over the back and down the tail.

Very beautiful cat, price is fair. Cheaper then parrot, Africa grey in Australia start from 4500, macaw can by much more expensive, hyacinthinus macsw’s price is so crazy high. I can’t even get one in Australia

Cant wait to get our 2 Somalis in December(A ruddy male and a black/silver female. And yes Black/Silver is a recoignised colour in FIFE and TICA). After having owned a somali for 13½ years i have never encountered a more loving and affecinate breed so double up on the energy and love is going to be great.

I had Somalicats. Betty, the last one, live from 1994 Till 2012..She was wonderful. Samson too, and he was a very clone friend, but he died surprisingly after 11 years. Nowadays,a Somalicat would be too expensive for me.

My cat seems to be a breed mixed with the Somali cat. The features and fur color are similar, and she's very intelligent. I've taught her sit, and every time I get out the treats she comes to me and sits down. Let's see if I can teach her high five

And in case you're wondering we adopted her from an empty apartment that she found shelter in. She smelled really weird and seemed to be in bad condition (she was. We had to get shots for her due to internal parasites but she has none now thank god) and to our luck she's smart, picks up words by how we use them and also places we don't want her to poop in (tho she usually poops outside or in the bathroom) or when we say "no" and signal her to get down from somewhere she gets it and jumps down or gets off of the (for example) kitchen counter

I love my two Somalicat-brothers. 😻😻They are very curious and want to participate in everything. My Nodin just opened under the sink, the skirt of the kitchencoubpboards. 😰I found him, as he is good at being called at. But they are incredibly curious and will always find a way into a drawer or a ventilation tube or something like it. 🙀

My blue missed an audition because the message came late. She's got a mane like ZZ Top. I quit since. Too expensive now. Strawberry Shortcake was up to 24 years a long time ago. I disagree with blindness. I knew most breeders and owners. Never an issue. Got an Aby from that breeder many years ago. Two pics of my cats were on the Somalis show display at least 10 years. I miss it but inflation and the coof killed the show and breeding world. Lucky to see 100 cats at a show when 350 limits would fill up. Pretty sad to often not see popular breeds at a show even.

@@TheCatButler Michigan Cat Fanciers had the best shows near me. Lots of Somalis there. Were 5 of us breeders at the time instate. Well more including the Canadians and one in Ohio rip and Illinois. . Now I was the last in the area but things happened. I miss it but just visit shows now. Internationals were crazy and lots of running, couldn't hear the numbers well. Last call. Eek.😸
