My best basic advice: Don't be late, ever... Don't buy a car from a dealership within 50 miles of the base. Don't date the strippers around base, they are probably your NCO's Wife. If you don't live in base housing NEVER GO into base housing unless you're helping somebody move. Don't buy or wear Moto gear. Don't date or fool around with fellow service-members ESPECIALLY if they are in the same shop/platoon.

There are 5 MOS' you dont want to tick off in the military: 1. Your cooks. Those pogues cook your chow. Even if it taste like they are trying to give you food poisoning, pretend it was a new private that cooked it and there is a chance for it to get better. No one wants cook spit and other cook "juices" that aught not be there in the hot soup, or coffee when the cooks bring it down range for your company to eat. Play nice to the cooks... 2. Dont mess with your mechanics . These soldiers control if you are humping or driving to your mission. 3, Never lose your cool with the MP''s in front of said MP's especially if they are patrolling in pairs, or at the gate. Not only can they make your life a living hell right then and there with their battle buddy MP and possible K9 tearing into your six, but they can bring your specific name, rank, SSN, shoe size, and what you ate last week up in the daily blotter for the Base Commander to see, and embarrass your BN CO, which in turn flags your Company CO, and crap rolls down hill folks. You got something to say about the MP's? Keep that to yourself out of their ear shot! They can ruin your career before you can lace your boots! 4. Dont tick off your medics! Those soldiers hold the golden ticket to ease your pain if you get shot, injured, need CPR, or they can put you on a DNR list! Play real nice to your medics! 5. Dont crap on your Chaplains! Even if you dont believe in a God, these soldiers have "something" special about them, because they can get you out of a ton of pointless hurry up and wait duty, or even help get you great duty stations if you are nice to them. So dont mess with "God's" soldiers.
