The timer thing is only truly useful if said task is not schoolwork that is due soon and thus you *have* to actually get it done and 15 minutes is not long enough because all it will do is get me the process of prepping the notebook and/or webpage and through directions that I will have to reread later when I go back

I survived school on the Pomodoro method - 25 minutes of work, 5 minute break. Dividing it in chunks makes it less daunting, and structuring small breaks gives you direction.

I'd argue the only one that should count is the Earth as the Earth revolves around the Sun. The Sun does move, as does all our solar system--but that isn't required for the sundial to work.

I am out of practice of it, (and I don't remember if I posted it before) but that 15 min thing has really helped me especially when I've been doing multiple writing projects at once. It helps me with stress, so new projects don't feel like a distraction and old projects don't hold me hostage. & best of all even if I didn't come up with anything during 15 mins, that's okay for me too because I feel like I made an effort to try & I can let it go and move on to other things & come back to it later.

The 15 minutes technique doesn't work on shaving my body, because then I am either going to be covered in shaving cream and shaving cuts until I finish, whenever that is. Or, I will need to clean myself up and put band aids on any cuts I get every time, then it would just take longer and be even less convenient.
