1:20 - 2:00 Exactly! I couldn't agree more. 👍 I bugs me especially as someone alone this Christmas. I'm 38, and suddenly lost my dad as a teenager days before I went off to college, my mom had really ill health growing up, my aunt (his sister) and two uncles (moms brother) had tragic ends in their 40s, and I don't have siblings or cousins... so by the time I turned 30 didn't have much family left (grandparents also went many years ago)... I was in a long term relationship and that ended several years back, so I don't have kids or a wife. I thought I would, but after 6 years she didn't want that. And since then I haven't found much interest my way, so that's been an adjustment. To make matters worse, I was diagnosed with a aggressive Prostate tumor in July (precancerous) and had it removed immediately after - so now I probably will never have kids to share Christmas with because she made me wait so long. So here I am on Christmas, and I don't even have family to visit or visit me. And it isn't until you don't have something that you took for granted, that most people around you have - that you suddenly start to realize _"oh shit!"_ 😬 Trust me. There is nothing worse than listening to people complain about their families. Or traveling to see them. Or the food. Or the bad gifts. I'm sure any of you who have been stationed far away from home, or traveled for work... you know what it feels like. You guys have experienced a little taste of what it's like for me and others who it will never get better (can't bring back those who are gone). It's something that I wish everyone could experience (like being poor or living with bad health) for a very short time early in their lives to build character and give them a taste of hard times so they appreciate their blessings. Because sadly, the reason Dok said that: is because there are _*FAR*"_ too many people right now in the US who do nothing but complain around the holidays and act like victims. Literally making it out like they are captives in Vietnam, because they are being 'forced' to spend time with family or accept bad food/gifts. 🙂↔️ ...You know how I'm spending today/Christmas Day? I'm in a dark cold room (it's cold outside) because I'm saving on heating this year, eating salad and drinking some bad/cheap eggnog - while flipping thru some classifieds since my truck broke down and needs a part I can't afford, as I quietly listening to Dok and Wes for two and a half hours and smiling about the conversation. And when it's over, I'll probably get early spring cleaning done for a bit, then settling-in to watch a horror film (because I'm the childish sad sack who watches The Thing or Die Hard on Christmas, lol) alone while nursing the rest of my nog (or brandy).... Then if it's not too late, I'll almost certainly go to a Waffle House and have Christmas dinner with the other sad people and truck drivers. Because it's one of the few places open on Christmas, and they replaced dive bars (like in the 80s) as the place sad people go on Christmas. 🧇🍺🫤 So please, appreciate what you got, because holidays are so hard when you don't celebrate them because your alone (for real ..not 'angry at your family' and saying your alone). Even the classic Christmas movies and literature try hard to impress to importance of this: whether it's A Wonderful Life or The Christmas Carol. Not that I'm claiming I'm a victim or anything (want to make that clear). I am a otherwise happy guy throughout the year... but when you don't have family during the holidays it stings alot. And for a few weeks out of my year, the world can suddenly feel real cold for some odd reason. And that's about as important an advice as I could ever give anyone else. Try to get a long, of even for a few times a year. Let the grudges and annoying behaviors go for a day or two, and just enjoy that time in your life that you've got these people around. Happy Holidays! 🙂↕️ ❤️ *_PS:_*_ Thank you Wes and Dok for uploading this conversation on KZbin for everyone to listen to who isn't on the patreon. The stuff you guys upload on there is some high quality discussions."_

As far as Cirnswet's Superman hair- ask if it is better than Rachel Zegler's Snow White hair cut. If it is, then Superman broccoli cut is fine.

Well the hair is there for a reason, cavill never ever worked as Clark because all he did was throw on glasses. Didn’t change posture, hair, personality or anything. At least corenswet looks different and acts awkward and is schlubby. Looks like a cornfed country boy trying to fit in to the big city.

Happy holidays fellas! Thanks for this Beef Wellington Holiday Comic books discussion. The Dark Knight has quite a bit of detective work. First, the irradiated currency was how Batman could figure out where the money was going from government to the mafia. Notice that’s what the Joker either burned or destroyed. The finger print recreated from the bullet casing. That’s how Bruce figured out where he was going to try and assassinate the Mayor. Also hints of using state hospitalized mentally ill as minions. It’s all been carefully seeded. It hints that the Joker was ex-military IED expert. The Batman is a snore fest. It has 6 minutes of action before the final scene at what is supposed to be Madison Square Garden. If you don’t know any Spanish I suppose the “El” and “La” confusion is revolutionary. I thought it was completely stupid. The best part of the Batman was watching a mayor LITERALLY ask Bruce Wayne for money at a funeral. It nailed down this society where politicians, Cops, lawyers, social elite feast off the corpse of the city while citizens live in fear and suffer. THAT was the best Gotham.
@cicolasnage568420 күн бұрын
Facts. It’s so dopey when people whine that Batman films before Matt reeves didn’t have detective work. People who say that parrot garbage, to me, feels like they never watched Batman movies at all. Batman 89- Batman discovers how joker is poisoning Gotham hygiene products Batman forever- Batman deciphers riddlers riddles Batman begins- Batman traces the drugs from the narrows all the way to what’s going on with dr crabs and arkham. Dark knight-Batman testing the bullet and Tracing it back to an Arkham inmate. although the Batman is good it’s nothing new, it’s pretty much just Nolan 2.0 and drained of explanation whereas Nolan explained the suit and the Batmobile and such. Even the realistic villain touch was done in Nolan films. All reeves did was mix seven and lethal weapon together and played loose with the Batman books. That’s it.

About Solicits needing improvements - Trailers are a major part of comic promotions and I feel they could be made a lot better but still be comic trailers... Having great promoters from KZbin content creators is cool and I think if they made the solicites better those/these channels would be even better

@cicolasnage568420 күн бұрын
Exactly, people act like those comics are god tier. They really aren’t. Overly verbose, corny, other people took those characters and concepts and did much better work. People that say dopey shit like “oh boy stan Lee spins in his Grave!” Stop it already stan Lee was never a good writer to begin with, all he did was touch up Kirby and ditkos roughs.

Claremont to me has always been a coin toss for his plotlines and payoffs. At best, it can be really good and memorable. On the middle ground, it's at least finally over and works with what was set up. At the very worst, it misses the mark completely, makes everything worse afterwards and ruins it all. His setups aren't always there either which makes every other option I listed not that great in retrospect.

Yea I like this new Lex, I didn’t like Hackman, and the Man of Steel Lex was the worst casting ever, and I liked. Smallville is by far my favourite Lex. I think Guys hair looks exactly like it does in the comics, no idea why people have issues with it.
