Take your hobby knife and slice the labels down each side from your paint pots. You can then take the labels and apply them to your bottles!

Thanks for the video. Tip: I use almost the same method decanting my paints into dropper bottles (its easier for wet pallet and airbrush use) and find if I snip the top off (by cutting the hinges) and add a little thinner / medium first, its a lot easier to pour it out. Plus GW have kindly made the pot labels easy to pull of and re-stick on to other bottles.

I would think adding some flow improver would help big time. Medium is just paint without pigment. Lots of GW paints are SUPER thick and need to be thinned down big time in order for them to shoot properly and not “speckle” great idea though for large batch paint jobs though! PS I was waiting for you to tip over the mixed paint the whole time lol

With "Layer" paints you fill the pot at 1/2 with airbrush thinner or 3/4?

Great video I just started doing this myself. The only thing I would add is between the straight paint pour and the adding medium pour I would add an agitator. You will get a better mix and will waste a lot less paint, also the agitator goes into the mix bottle when done.

I use hardened glass beads as agitators, they work great, are cheap and have 0% chance of corrosion.

I did something similar a few times but wasn’t happy with my bottles. Where did you get the bottles you decanted the paint into?

Just at Michael's craft store. They sometimes sell them individually in bins, or packs of 5. Been happy with them for years. They also have a pop-cap for dispensing a few drops at a time, which I didn't demonstrate in this video.

You can buy suitable bottles (I use dropper bottles, but you could use whatever) in bulk and super cheap from places like Alibaba or Wish. eBay too, but at a generally higher price. I got like 100 17ml droppers for less than £10.

Does Createx not make that medium anymore, or have they just renamed it? Can't seem to find it anywhere - not even on their own website

Is airbrush medium and thinner basically the same thing? I have Vallejo airbrush thinner, would it have the same effect? Also, would love to see you do the horsies if you haven't already done them.

Hi there, yep Vallejo Airbrush Thinner should work too - although TBH I haven't tried using it in pre-mixed batches so I'm not speaking from experience. I just think it would work. Also: I'm in the process of painting the mounted guy from Soul Wars box set, and will have a video for that :)

Can a matt medium be used in place of the airbrush medium?

Mogwai Man haven't tried it. Maybe in a pinch but hard to say.

So, is like water/diluyent 3 to 1 ratio (3 drops of water for 1 of paint)?
