That’s why you always put on shabriris woe so you take aggro with fan daggers as backup aggro so you can fight the boss by yourself. However even though I’m clearly showing I’m better than them at the fight, the hosts sometimes try “helping” and then they get instantly killed because they don’t know the timing for all of radahns attacks like I do.

I really fucking hate that they didn't add a boss replay mode for ER of all games. Sekiro has a boss replay but it's the game where u can reach the bosses fast anyway if u know where ur going. Y doesn't ER have it? I have no incentive to go to ng+ just to fight a few bosses again and co-op isn't really that fun after a while.

Quick tip for everybody meaning to help as summons: Have at least SOME form of health regen to compensate for the halved flasks. While on their own the incantations/items are a bit lacking, stacking at least 2 together can (and most likely will) save you from a lot deaths on top of making your flask usage more conservative. Additonally, the moments where you are not taking damage will be advantageous for survival, since it adds up faster than you might think. I for one recommend the Bestial vitality incantation (because it lasts long as hell and its very low on fp cost), the Blessed Dew talisman (literally recquires just a talisman slot) and the Crimsonburst Crystal tear on your flask. Together, they will give you about 14HP per second for a whopping 3 minutes, and only the flask can't be refreshed; both incant and talisman will linger on. I wish jolly cooperation upon on all of you furled fingers out there \[T]/

@@thempror8915 I know, which is why i recommended to stack them so the numbers add up. Like, i completely agree that BD talisman is lacking a bit, but hey, 2HP/s is still 20hp in 10 seconds. And for boss summons, whose job is to essentially share aggro and help for as long as possible, healing and sustain is a bit more worth the effort than potential damage (unless ofc you're doing a glass cannon build, then damage is all we getting lol)

On this note, i find having a range option to be phenomenal at splitting agro. Even if you're not doing much damage, when the boss takes damage from a player they arent currently targeting, the boss Ai can be tricked into swapping targets Tldr, hit the boss with a pinprick to keep them from doing a 7 attack combo to the host and give them room to heal.

As a Sunbro that’s tried multiple times to help people get past Radahn, even drawing full aggro with the shield poke build didn’t help, it’s like these hosts are *trying* to get hit by strays, and no amount of tanking by me can save them from themselves. I greatly envy fellow sunbros that get actually intelligent summoners who let the tank do their damn job. A couple days ago on a new file I summoned to beat Radahn on a Dex/Int build because I was getting frustrated by the janky terrain and didn’t want to waste the rest of the day soloing him, I got a Tank Sunbro and let him do his job. I only went in for hit and runs when the dude was near death to draw aggro and let him heal back up. Easiest win of my life because we both played that fight smart. I however have never had the fortune of a smart host, they just get hit all the time by things they really should have been able to avoid.

There *are* actual glitches with the boss fight. I still enjoyed it, but some glitches were really unfair. For example, his starting gravity flip attack one shotted me one time despite me having over 2k hp. Some of his clone attacks would go straight through the ground. For his front flip attack, before his animation fully ends, he can start another attack. For the most part, though, the boss fight it fun

The game was released over 2 years ago and I still find hosts that enter boss fights with 430 as their max hp. Then those that have some health still die fast because they never realised that keeping a soreseal past level 70 is a horrible idea. At least hosts survive Malenia more often nowadays, so that's some progress.

As someone who co-oped for this boss for hours now, the best tip I can give is always have agro. You can't heal, you can't walk off, and you have to be the target 24/7. Having another teammate with a shield and a thrusting weapon is a huge help too, but not necessary. Status effects are also the only way for this fight. You are almost selling if you don't maximize one status to fullest, in your case, Nagakiba should be blood infused. (Target switch is just smt you get used to. No tip) Not sure if you eant more, but if you do, then let me know.

"Helping" on this boss is a nightmare, even when you can beat him alone. Between his speed, the random targetting, the zone attack and his mounstruous damages, it's a miracle to manage to win with the host. I only managed to help two person after many tries, and one of them was carried by another guy who used the cheese technique

I tried this fight again on new game plus but this time I summoned Thiollier and Ansbach. Turns out you get their weapons and clothes if you beat Radahn with them. They died in my attempt tho so they're just dead with their drops. Idk if there's a secret dialogue from them if they lived.

I helped a ton of dude beating this boss, my strategy is parrying him to death, surprisingly easier than a lot of strategies out there, considering he has very little attacks that aren't parryable, and deflecting tear helps when I eventually fucked up something. Named myself "Han Solo bolo" just to make sure hosts know to let me do my things, but the amount of hosts immediately dies to his AOE attacks due to low vigor is concerning.
