It was a rainy day in March, after a failed interview where I took shelter from the rain in a bookstore and I first found Epictetus' Discourses sitting on the shelf. Picking it up was perhaps the best decision I ever made. Over seven months later (and counting), as well as many more Stoic texts and personal written essays and applied principles later, and my life is better, more fulfilling and more free than its' ever been, thanks to having been regularly practicing Stoicism. Seriously, get this book if you haven't already.

Very nice, it is always these harsh moments that a change comes in, in a good way. I started reading philosophy at university working at the same time to keep myself going. Because I had no money and felt like I needed to work as I studied. Some nights I had to work and go to school in the morning, sleeping only a few minutes before class, god it was difficult, but I would pay to get those days back. In that time, I met Marcus Aurelius in a bookstore. I found Meditations and took it and read preface. I was in love with it. I bought it with a couple of different philosophy books, left and started reading it very slowly. Just couple pages a day and I thought deeply on what he said, at work as I found time, on train or at school, in breaktimes. My life changed for the much much better. I earned money, bought a nice motocycle and finished my school. Marcus Aurelius surely did help me out a lot. I lost the discipline for years. Trying to find my way back in life, I am here once more. We mustn't give up fellows :) Edit: What is also interesting is that I found this channel around almost at the same time I bought the book. A passenger at the airport(I was working at the airport) saw the book and asked if I was a stoic. I said I am very new and trying to understand the philosophy. He recommended this channel, took my phone and subscribed and said you have to follow this channel. I don't even remember that guys face, but hope you also follow it up to this day. You made a good change in my life. Thank you.

Talk about virtues. Talk about the indifferents. Talk about representations. Physics, logic, ethics. Talk about the three disciplines of Epictetus.

You should do a video of the best Stoic songs (that aren't Iron Maiden). I suggest The Day I Tried To Live by Soundgarden as one of them.

Not sure if they're the same although I would assume so but Is the Discourses Fragments Handbook translated by Robin Hard another excellent option? Many have praised it. I have it currently and look forward to reading it.
