This adorable baby squirrel loves to stretch and yawn - Jerry Squirrel

Jerry is hilarious, whenever he wakes up he stretches and yawns at least 2 times. What a lazy guy.
05/01/2021 - 1 year update: There has been a sudden uptick in traffic to this channel. I'd like to thank everyone who watched and enjoyed this video and give an update.
We found Jerry during the summer of 2020 and he lived in our shed coming and going as he pleased. He was growing and thriving until the fall when he stopped coming around.
I'd like to think that he found the forest near our house but the reality is we were a great source of food for him and I don't think he would have stopped coming back. We miss Jerry and are glad other squirrel lovers can appreciate how awesome he was.

I used to a have a rescue squirrel that I raised from a tiny pink baby. When we released him he would come back everyday for nuts all the time until suddenly one day he didn't come back. It is always hard to think positive that he might have found a better place to live or went off somewhere new and made a life for himself, but that is the reality that most people have to face when they raise a baby squirrel is that you have to let them go out in the wild on their own to live a natural and free life and that means that you can no longer protect them from dangers that are out there. Whatever happens you have to appreciate the fact that you did the best you could to give these wonderful little animals a chance at life. I hope that Jerry and others like him get to live life to the fullest out in the wild the way Mother nature intended.

This is indeed the truth be told.For all rescued and rehabbed animals ..we generally don't get to have a wam fuzzy moment since once surrendered for adoption You no longer know where or who that beloved fur baby went..If it's good or sad..very hard to Trust and let go without worrying..and Having Faith in the adoption process..Yes we've surrendered Birds wild Bunnies Turtles etc wildlife...with guardian angels around them to make it and find food and shelter and safety, companionship and mates 🙏.on their new journey. Protection and Food for all God's creatures and peace to their caregivers.

My tata used to find them out 9f the nest and we would have all sorts of baby animals around the backyard until they were strong enough to go back into the wild. Somehow I doubt they liked being in the wild as much as they loved my tata. He fed them all sorts of fruits and nuts and he didn't want them to be uncomfortable so he asked the vet how much advantage he could put on them so they didn't have fleas..lol awe the love he had

His circadian rythms are off when he's in the dark during the Day..needs Sunlight☀️ then he'll want to go outside..but not if it's Winter.. Has the GoodLife now.. Squirrels are incredibly sensitive and affectionate..He needs a play friend.Also squirrels rise with the sun and sleep when the sun goes down..

From what I've read, they are most active in morning and late in the day, and they take naps in between. Although there's no set schedule. It's true that they don't seem to be out and about as much in mid day, it's not set in stone.

I am sorry Jerry didn't come back. I worry he got hit by a car. I see so many dead squirrels (and other wild animals too) on the road on my way to work, as some drivers don't care to be attentive and don't care to slow down.... I am so sorry. Jerry is so adorable! Thank you for this video.
