This message is for Vicky. When I was 7/8 years old, Santa Claus brought me nothing but little kiddles and skididdle kiddles for Christmas. I received all the accessories as well. I was truly in heaven. I didn't realize how poor we were or how hard my single mother had to work as a waitress to buy them for me. (Dad rarely sent child support due to new wife and 4 more children with her). Looking back now, it makes me want to cry. Thanks for this blast from the past. I always enjoy your time on camera. How sweet of your mom to get them for you! I only had three Locket Kiddles, a Kologne Kiddle and the lunchbox as a little girl but I LOVED them! They were a wonderful 60s toy line by Mattel. It was such a great era of cool toys. Kiddles, , Dawn dolls, Beautiful Chrissy, and my favorite play set was the Fun Flowers and Creepy Crawlers!

It’s a homemade Pokémon game. It’s like a fan version, someone probably created their own story it is not official Pokémon game. It’s an underground type thing, usually once people have played all the games and want to get into game making, they alter the game code to make a fan version.

An extensive hack of Pokemon Ruby, created by Baro. Quartz takes place in the region of Corna (a heavily-edited version of Hoenn), and requires the player to navigate a very different series of paths during gameplay than in Ruby. The Pokémon game is called a homebrew rom hack. There are self created and enhanced characters and features that just make the original Pokémon games advanced and more unique. It’s not meant to be a fake game persay, but more of someone’s own creation that they made based of Pokémon. It’s kinda like someone’s mixtape cd haha, like it’s a custom work packaged to look like a real Pokémon game to sell more and play off the name that they incorporate into their custom version.

I dont k ke if you still have it, but the pokemon quartz is a 'homebrew'. Someone basically made their own game using an original game. I think they have some value though. Its not a reproduction, or fake of an actual game, its real, its just not a real game from nintendo. If that makes any sense at all. Its probably worth 8-12$

To the avarage person that could be a $5-$10 game, its basicly a knock off copy of ruby version... but in the pokemon world to a game enthusiast that collects this stuff it could be worth wayy more money, as it does have its own history; its own story line and it somehow fits in with the pokemon life. In other words, its not so much as a bootleg copy its more of a free lance copy that wasnt approved by nintendo..

It is illegal (Federal Crime) to sell counterfeit copyrighted or trademarked items even if the seller discloses that they are counterfeit. So a 'bootleg' item is illegal to sell even when clearly marked as a "copy", "bootleg", "replica" etc. unless the copyright or trademark holder has granted a license to reproduce them.

Quartz isn't a "real" game per se. It's playable, but as has been said earlier it's a Rom Hack. Meaning someone recoded the game to make a bunch of changes to whatever the original game was to get a different result. So it's a playable game, but it's not officially licensed or anything. There is a huge market for buying rom hacks and home brew games, but I couldn't begin to tell you what it's worth. The prices for Quartz are all over the place.

You may want to buy a binder for all of your decals and magnets. You can cut out the address of the person who sent them and put it in the same sleeve as the decal. It will be like a picture album you could keep on your counter.

The game is a rom, meaning it was crafted by non Nintendo or Pokémon official people. It’s bits and pieces of all the games mashed into one. It’s is still desirable. Especially if it’s working in a cartridge. Most of those games you have to have program on your computer to run.
