The singer is Brian Johnson, who joined the band after their other singer, Bon Scott, died in 1980. Angus Young is their iconic lead guitarist who has worn a schoolboy uniform since he and his brother Malcolm started the band in 1973. He's literally one-of-a-kind, as no one has ever moved and played like him before, especially when he was younger.
@lisal6121

I agree with all you said except for the part about his moving. Have you never seen what Chuck Berry was doing in the 1950s? Yes, angus is another guitar master. But his movements go back decades. Even Elvis was doing fantastic movements on stage.

@@lisal6121 Neither Berry nor Elvis moved to the extent that Angus did when he was young. Angus took it to a whole other level. Check out AC/DC's concert film "Let There Be Rock", filmed in 1979 and released in 1980. I think it is available on KZbin, although you may have to pay for it. He was like that during every single concert. No one could keep up with him, before or since.

@@lisal6121 Btw, Lisa, although "Let There Be Rock" is one of their songs, it was also the name of their actual concert film with Bon Scott, before he died. Other musicians have actually cited the film as an influence in starting their own music careers.

My husband has been a huge AC/DC fan since he was a pre-teen (He's almost 58). For his birthday several years ago, I bought him the DVD for "AC/DC Live at River Plate "(Argentina 2009). He said it is one of the best concert films he's ever watched (not just from AC/DC but other groups too). The energy level from the audience is incredible to see. It was a 3 day concert, each night was sold out. River Plate stadium holds +60,000 people so that means the venue had over 180,000 people walk through it's doors that weekend. Please check out any of these from the concert: Whole Lotta Rosie, Highway to Hell, Thunderstruck, & The Jack! *Note - many other KZbinrs have reacted to & fell in love with the official video for Thunderstruck as well. It is a must see! When you do watch any concert footage from River Plate, keep in mind that these guys had been rock gods for decades by that time. Now here they are, still rockin' out with more energy & stamina than musicians half their age! Again, this is another rabbit hole of amazing music to discover & explore. Enjoy the ride! 🤘

Their legendary 2009 concert at River Plate is a great place to start, the band is older but in top form and the Argentinian crowd matches the bands energy note for note... "Whole Lotta Rosie", "Highway To Hell", "Thunderstruck", "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" are all amazing selections from this show.

AC/DC came up with the perfect recipe for rock ‘n’ roll in 1973 and they’ve just kept making the same batch for the last 50 years! Somebody once said AC/DC has made the same album 11 times, and Angus Young said correction, we’ve made the same album 12 times !

Angus Young is the guitarist, his sister actually named the band after a sewing machine and she is the one who told him to keep his school boy outfit on because he would run home to play in his older brothers band when he was 16 and he would not have time to change. She did try other outfits in the beginning, like Spider-Man, and a few other things, but they didn’t take off like the school by outfit did

You’ve heard ac/dc songs, probably several, and you just don’t realize it. Bon Scott actually passed away of acute alcohol poisoning (I believe) and was replaced by lead singer Brian Johnson. I think this was the first album he was on after Bon Scott’s death in 1980. Also, I read that Angus Young would come home from school when he was young and he was in such a hurry to play his guitar and rock out with the band that he never took the time to change out of his school uniform and I believe that’s all he’s worn in videos and concerts.

You beat my comment. 10:05 and other points in the song, are like a combo of Rap, Scat & Rock n Roll rolled into one. Of course the people growing up in 40's-60s that became these bands we listen to grew up listening to American music(almost in order of appearance to my limited knowledge): Classical (not American), Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Country, Big Band/Americana, 'Black' Rock n Roll, Motown. That's 9 (recorded) Genres in 60 years not including Classical originating in the 1500's.(recorded on paper first) Created out of those we got; 1960s to 1970's (UK invasion) of Rock n Roll, Prog Rock, RnB, Funk, Punk, Reggae, Latin, Africana, Disco, Rap, Metal. Then 1980's: New Wave, Dance(House, Freestyle, Techno, Industrial, Chill, + more), Hip-Hop and Pop. ALL those led to 1990s Grunge, & Weird Al epic parodies (LOL, 1980's actually but I'm cheating). That's 17 Genres in 32 years. A total of 25 Genres in roughly 92 years + Classical. I can't even think of a new style to come out of the early 1990's to present 2023... Snowflake/Victimhood/Identity Crisis music? That's 1993 to 2023, 30 yars with, what 1 or 2 new genres? Help us Lord.

He was very gentlemanly, pleasant and his speaking voice was warm but almost normal, just a touch of gravel. But when I hear him on his TV show, it is full of gravel and hard to understand. lol Maybe a bit like Colin Hay from Men at Work...... Colin speaks perfect Australian and sounds true blue, but can revert to his normal Scot accent and is impossible to understand..... his real voice and accent is pure Glaswiegan. lol

👏👏👏 GREAT reaction. And.... I LOVE that you look up facts on the songs and artists while reacting!!! I'd like to give you one more fact about AC/DC, this song and this whole album. Not only was this Brian Johnson's very first album as lead singer after Bon's death in 1980.... it is AC/DC's highest selling album period. At last check, the album "BACK IN BLACK" has been certified Platinum 25X's!!!👊 That speaks volumes to its greatness and in my humble opinion... shows that Brian was meant to be lead singer of AC/DC!!! 💯💯💯 Fair warning: As you start to dig deeper into the bands catalogue and go back and listen songs with Bon Scott as lead singer... you are going to find that there's an on-going debate with AC/DC fans. It's the whole "Bon vs. Brian" debate. It can get pretty heated (ridiculous at times😅) in the comment sections! lol!!!🤣😂🤣 Anyway, my thoughts on the subject... Brian Johnson has been AC/DC's lead singer for 42 years now. Bon was only their lead singer for 6 years. While his voice was great as well, his delivery of it was more of a "sleezy" naughty, bad boy vibe. Brian's delivery is more of a playful tough boy. That's more my vibe! So before the debates start... I'm just gonna go ahead and give Brian Johnson some love!! If I'm gonna listen to an AC/DC song... I prefer Brian Johnson!!!🤗 But make no mistake.... ANGUS is the heart and soul of AC/DC!!!🥰 You'll find that out too! I can't with Angus, I just love his spirit!!! Just saying!!😜 Looking forward to watching an AC/DC journey with you. I recommend "THUNDERSTRUCK" live at River Plate. Seriously, you've heard the song everywhere in your life you just didn't know it was AC/DC. That performance is perfect and you're gonna love Angus guitar playing in that one too!!! Peace and light...💞

I'm the lead singer of AC/DC. Every time I hear AC/DC, I magically become the lead singer of AC/DC. Just ask my neighbors....

If you know very little about ACDC , start off with their first album : High Voltage with the original singer Bon Scott. Do all the ACDC albums in order with Bon Scott , then move onto Brian Johnson . That's the best way to hear ACDC 🎸

I would just like to point out that the "50 million units" Back in Black sold were done when you had to get off your butt and go to the record store to buy them!!
