Can already tell this bike is going to cover a lot of different terrain. Full review coming soon! Already hooked up some Roval C38 with 30c slicks. Dropped 2 pounds overall! Sitting at 20lbs with pedals and cages. Let me know what you want to hear about in the comments!

Nice video! I bought mine last April, same size same color, was supposed to be here end of June, that was delayed til end of August, got it just before September, and was kind of pissed. It was supposed to come with internal routing for a dropper, and left shifter could be used for that(and I confirmed that w/tech support), didn't happen, they changed the frame! Went to go tubeless(700C), and I had to seal the front wheel seam with superglue before sealant wouldn't blow all over the place. Anyway, that was last year when things were a bit crazier, I love the bike though. Also, I changed the bars out to Zipp 70 46CM, because I'm old, and twitchy as it is, LOL!

How's the toe clearance at slow speed? 535mm ETT seems shorter than my ideal for (S).. seems likely my size 12 feet would end up clipping too much. Good chance I'll pick up the medium instead and if it feels too stretched out maybe I'll make it a flat bar build. Same inseam as you. Thanks for the vid!

All good on toe clearance! I think the rake on the fork helps and it has a longer wheelbase so I haven’t had any issues.

Any more impressions on this after having it awhile? Looking at this bike to order soon
@thegravelist2 жыл бұрын
Yeah def. It’s a sweet bike and the price point + a wireless groupset is hard to beat. However, the longer chain stays weren’t for me. They measure 435, which for my riding style was too long. I like a quick feeling sprinty bike whereas this didn’t have that umph compared to something that has 420 chain stays. That being said, this bike felt extra extra stable on descents and ripping downhill on gravel. So if you’re riding style is more down than up and or you like a more floaty feel downhill, then this bike is great!

thinking of slapping some 30mm CX tyres to my roadie for some adventure rides like this to get away from the road racing and training stuff haha

Hell yeah. Sounds like a solid time!

Would you race it? Do you need to make adjustments to the brakes etc if you swap over to a 700c wheel
@thegravelist2 жыл бұрын
Good question. Im too slow for a race, haha. I think the bike would need a shorter chain stay for it to feel properly sprinty off the line. I don’t think a race is where this bike lives. Not to say it’s slow, it descends really comfy and feels stable.

@The Gravelist thank you. Could it handle a group ride if your swapped out the wheels?
@thegravelist2 жыл бұрын
@@terrillford7784 absolutely. All day long. I picked up a pair of Roval C38’s with some 30c slicks. Thing absolutely rips on road. And dropped it 2 pounds down to 20 even, with pedals and cages.

do you still have your single speed bike? was thinking on getting the wabi thunder but after seeing this video the state all road looks very tempting.
@thegravelist2 жыл бұрын
Not as of late. This has been my main bike for commuting and off road ripping. I snagged a second 700c wheelset that I use for road. And use the 650’s for gravel. It’s been a ton of fun! I do still ride my single speeds around my neighborhood or quick rips around town. They’ll always hold a special place, ha

last question. would you advise buying the all road from a retailer or having it delivered directly to your home? just thinking on terms of warranty issues.
@thegravelist2 жыл бұрын
@@aubreycharles9611 I had mine checked at my local bike shop to have the warranty activated. The bike is pretty much put together, just have to install the bars and wheels. But it’s nice to have a professional give it a once over plus that’s States way to cover their butts and incentivizing by activating your warranty. So it’s all good

swear this is my last question. how does the all road aluminum frame ride compared to your single speed steel bike? harsher? about the same? do you feel every road vibration?
@scottborders7934 Жыл бұрын
if you're gonna go after a single speed bike and don't wanna have to worry about QC issues, go with PureCycle. Theirs is amazing; the default juliet color paired with a 54cm size when you're 5 6/5 9 makes the frame feel custom-made. This is only my 2nd road bike- I rode a 57cm and once I went smaller, the bike feels like an extension of me.
