I have the br 183 A and I love it,I changed out the pickguard and ebony pins very good sustain for sure Over time the wood will darken Thx

Clean sound! You used a pick! I like all the different styles. The sustain was good! I’ll have to try a high pass filter on our worship team’s guitar. Search my heart, oh Lord! We should always say that every day.

Thanks! These days I’m usually using a 3:1 stereo configuration - an sE2200 large condenser on the body of the guitar and an sE8 small condenser on the fretboard both plugged into an apollo twin x duo interface. I then record to Logic.

I love the acrobats at 1:59 haha. It has a great sound. What’s the size? I’m curious because sometimes I feel like my guitar is too big, I have a full size but I’m wondering if a 3/4 would work better for me.

haha. They’re the size of a 000. They’re definitely more comfortable than a dreadnought. Works for smaller people like me.

The fretboard does feel a bit wider than my Martin. I’m 5’6” but I’m not sure what my hand size is. 😆

Thanks everyone, I’m also a 5’5” woman, my dreadnought guitar was gifted to me by my grandfather but his hands are much thicker than mine so yeah now I’m curious to go try some other models at my local music store to see if I find something more comfortable. I do feel like I have to really strain to fret the board but then again that could be a technique issue too.

You may be able to try a different material string to produce a darker tone. Martin monel strings are more vintage sounding.

Dunno about this particular model,, but A friend of mine bought the BR-180 ,, what a piece of junk.. Advertised as a solid wood quality guitar , but sounded like a cheaper laminate acoustic .. Unfortunately , fancy inlays don’t make a good sounding guitar .. My low end basic Larrivee D-03 made the BR-180:sound like something you’d buy from Walmart 😆🤷‍♂️
