It seems that some people are really disliking your message here. I just want to remind everyone that he keeps saying to follow these steps IF financial freedom is a priority for you. If it's not... THAT'S OK! Some people find joy in their current careers and live perfectly happy and fulfilled lives working until retirement age and following the norm. I'm a teacher, and I fully intend to do this work my whole life. I still enjoy the videos for any small tidbits I can use to improve my financial standings. As Gabe said, money is a TOOL that can provide options and comfort...it doesn't mean that you should be extreme in order to retire early and travel the world if that doesn't seem fulfilling to you. Thanks for another great video, Gabe.

People underestimate the power of mindset. Guarded Laws of Money Manifestation explains why it’s the key to wealth.

Just ordered the book. Keep recommending books like this that you found life changing yourself. Saves the rest of us a lot of time! A 2025 project for me is to read a lot more about wealth mindset and investing. There’s a significant gap in my knowledge on these things. I grew up in a family with an extreme scarcity mindset. Still trying to shake that at age 62. At least I did learn a lot of frugality from them as well but that has to be paired with a financial growth mindset. I’m late learning about these concepts but as they say, late is better than never.

No dude. Ive been dumpster diving broke. Money absolutely unequivocally does not buy happiness. Money buys options. Reducing stress and makes it easier to achieve sure. But if you chase happiness with your wallet. You will NEVER find it.

Yeah I think this is what he meant but the message got scrambled a bit! Money doesn't buy happiness, but a lack of money/resources can be a hurdle to happiness.

Ive been broke enough to not be able to eat regularly. Luckily i reached escape velocity, now I have more money than i will ever need now. Money definitely doesn't buy happiness, but eating what every you want, where ever you want and not worrying about where shelter is coming from ever again is super freeing. Money doesnt buy happiness, but it lubricates almost every aspect of life.

Misperception: a “job” means I’m “safe” and I don’t have to hustle, just go into auto-pilot and be surprised when there are layoffs. I have “no control”. Entrepreneurs are always on the clock….the challenge is clocking-out and enjoying the life you built. The heaviness is “I’m responsible for everything all the time”.

The long game is the mindset shift most of my family and friends won’t adopt. But that won’t help me today is what’s keeping you from a life you enjoy a decade or two from now. Maybe three. How does this decision play out over the next few decades is a powerful mindset compared to how will it feel right now. Cheers :)

I'd say money is a catalyzer. If you are happy, you can be happier and realize your dreams, help yourself and family, etc. If you are a poor addict with untreated mentally illness, you will spend it in vices and be way more miserable long run.

I am glad I have 2 other incomes other than my 9-5. I have my amazon buisness and rental homes that bring in 140k a year. My 9-5 job only pays 133k a year ands its stressful. I plan on quitting my job and just "retiring" next year, but people tell me not to do it since I am still 33 years old. What do you guys think?
@MikeTsquared
@MikeTsquared 5 күн бұрын
If you can "retire" already, then make the changes in your life that you would have if you actually did, then work for your job for one more year, and save every single dime of that. Then use the money yoi saved to grow passive income streams after that year.

Nope, doesn’t burn me out. Motivates me. Gives me a sense of security and accomplishment. It could also be a mindset. If I earn $100, $50 automatically goes into my investing account. I don’t see it or consider it money earned. In my mind, I know I have $50 to spend on living expenses and wants. The lower I keep my living expenses, the more wants I can buy.

Maybe I should unsubscribe from this and other 'money' channels and take action in starting a side hustle. 🙂 Or go the Ali Abdaal route, or find durable habits that do bring mental wealth and ease of life. Or.. Or..... Or...... Maybe just become happy with the 9-5 job that brings security. Any side hustle may stop being a money well There are some points in your video that are worth doing: Having a financial backup fund, get out of debt, stop wanting the things your friends, neighbours, boss has Leave the USA and go live in Europe. I'm living in Europe and the quality of live is much better. Just my $0.02

the people who don't p[ay attention to how the system works and deny that it's rigged , are the fools who think buyign a house and a million means you out systemed the system. When you fing out that house is negative equity and badly built because the system is rigged for profit of the builders and lenders over the average income buyer... When you find out the million you made is based on taking money from other people who can't afford the house you bought And when you find out the stock market no longer is built on real value but hypebeasts and inflation money And when you figure out all wealth has been extracted and concentrated in a few thousand people AND WHEN YOU FIND OUT THE GUY NEXT TO YOU LOST ALL HIS MONEY TO MEDICAL DEBT You stop blaming and calling other people "lazy". and you LISTEN. screw that book.

Why is that kind of experiment legal and why can’t you come up with another example other than torturing dogs? Even if it was in his book, I would’ve left that out. I usually love your stuff, but if that’s the kind of example you’re going to use I’m not interested. Not only because it’s horrific, but because it puts that taint on anything you say afterwards.
