This boss BROKE me (KH3 Level 1 Crit + PRO Codes) - Part 4

Skoll is probably one of the toughest challenges of this run. It was brutal..
If you don't know, Kingdom Hearts 3 has a Critical Mode that halfs your HP/MP, dishes out x2 damage for you and enemies, and slows down how fast your gauge for fomchanges/summons fills. I took that challenge on while also being at Level 1 and adding on PRO codes, added handicaps to make the experience even harder! (help me)

20:56 (look at bio's chat) hate to be that guy but actually, this boss is not fenrir, he is sköll, wich is another giant wolf from norse mythology, in norse mythology sköll and hati are 2 giant wolfs who pursue the sun and the moon across the sky wich leads to the day and night cycle, at the start of the ragnarok they manage to catch and eat the sun and the moon

Believe it or not, Berserk Charge is actually pretty good on Skoll. Being able to just spam your non-finishers is amazing for this fight in particular; the forced pause finishers come with is really punishing here.

i admire you and you kinda scaring me. i tried for 10 hours those flan missions and i just hate myself for not being able to complete them and i just can't continue playing. and even though it hurts to be angry during playing kh i can't change it. but you just keep moving forward. If you can't do a specific part you just continue until you did it or you just come back to it later. it's scarry how you can just staz focused even though you died so many times and not really seeing any progress but it is also beautiful and inspirering to see. during watching this episode i decided to not give up either. i might not be able to be as good at this game as you are and play it at lvl 1 or on critical but i can at least continue to try achieving my only dream to 100% kh 3 and this maybe with dlc. Thank you for giving me my courage and motivation back on countinuing the game

skoll lvl 1 is still probably the most annoying boss i can remember fighting across the majority of games(BBS super bosses are ones i havnt touched). fundementally its all because non transform keyblade attacks minus counter dont stun him, but the momment your in a form, every attack does. infact looking at this vid made me realize that double forms attacks dont got the right attacks to stun him...this game...

If you're wondering why that happens, it's simply just because of how Stagger Endurance works. Stagger Endurance is kind of like the opposite of Revenge Value, where you need to hit a certain value to cause the enemy to stagger, pretty much every large boss in KH3 uses it while the humanoid bosses use RV. Normal keyblade swings don't add to SE, but finishers and counters do, as does magic and many formchange attacks. Stagger Endurance also doesn't build up while a boss is attacking usually, which is why they don't stagger until they've stopped moving.

@@OtterWithAController now that generally is the sentiment for most, skoll on the other hand even if you produce a stun from counter, normal attacks well not in a form doesnt continue the stagger if you do normals to follow up, even if you do any of the finishers. infact any of the non form finishers dont even hit right to stagger last i checked. i havnt done the whole game on lvl 1 crit(stop at end of pirates), but for what ever reason skoll is the only one that is set just that slightly different making it leagues more frustrating to fight against.

@@drantino Sköll also has a ridiculously high SE counter, at 25, so it's take about 4-5 reprisals for him to properly stagger, and finishers only add maybe one or two SE, so getting him to properly stagger is tricky. (note that staggering from one counter isn't the true SE stagger, it's just the simple counter stagger that only lasts for a second) Sköll is a ridiculously tough boss for mid-game, no doubt. I have don't full lv 1 crit, and Sköll stopped me for a while, but Nort Court stopped me more. You have to play it safe with Sköll and learn his attacks. The DM is certainly the most unfair part because it's designed around having a shotlock.

funny enough i personally dont got issue with the DM, yes i abused shot lock, but even when i didnt it felt actually acieviable...then i remembered air step exists in this game awhile after i finished the fight and hated my self for how much easier it could of bin. @@OtterWithAController cant never find backend data on the games sometimes. but SE basicly if im understanding right is how much actual dmg your hit has to actually do to stagger? and because counters have a higher dmg modi it can hit that value much easier? which also adds if im thinking of this right because all forms having hidden potentiol and that world giving +26 stats, makes attacks easier to hit that value. which judging from how double forms dmg profile is spread amung weaker multis on hits but a lot causing the stagger to not continue compared to other forms which at one point i did see(pre crit data mind sheet) most of their attacks do close to 1x dmg basicly almost always hitting that stagger value.
