I don't live near an estate like that, nearest similar one to me is probably Blagdon Hall, and that's a hike away. I do have a community farm at the bottom of the street though. :D

@@mickywrx not far from there is Belsay Hall, Throckley Hall, and Seaton Delaval Hall. There's loads more nearby. Not necessarily walking distance, but there's loads around Newcastle

Nice build... 👍 I would suggest running the oak trees down the sides of the main entrance road, rather than the middle - would give it that proper country estate vibe ❤

This one turned out even better than the one in Noob Yolk - which was great to begin with. Love the hedge-maze idea, seemed so effortless and is very convincing. I'd love to spend a long weekend there just chilling and walking around the area.

What a fantastic build. A shame there is no connection to the train station, though... I'm sure there is an asset that could have been used for a ticket office for getting onto the estate. Access by public transport might also reduce some car traffic (maybe).

Enjoyed this build!! We have 4 gated estates like this where I live and they are huge!! Lots of houses and second home people who come in the summer. It's our economy here. Like watching where I work lol. Very nice build! 🤩

Great build, the detailing was on point here. It’s nice to see Orchid Bay continue, I love CS1 content but most of the main creators have stopped producing them regularly since the CS2 fiasco (and a few other personal reasons on their behalf). I used your instant gaming link last week to buy the Airports DLCs, and spent most of Sunday building one.

hey egg you can use financial districts to repurpose any distcrict as you have not used the ofiice style for it in any place of orchid bay except for the unique buildings in the downtow(stock exchange and the plazas). It is a really cool office distcrict speacialization and would look really cool in orchid bay.

Estate builds are always fun. I think it could become lore that the two larger buildings with mirrored entry roads belong to rival aristocratic families that are always trying to one up one another. It could be the reason for the similar layouts of the road ways and all

I really like the build good job. Only thing i'm not a massive fan of is the use of dirt roads throughout the estate. The dirt walking paths make sense, but in a fancy estate like that, I would've expected the main roads at least, to be better than dirt at some point. But I think the game kinda lacks appropriate alternatives for road, since asfalt wouldnt' fit either. Something made out of bricks/stones would've been a good medium though, I reckon.

Might sound silly but could there also be a small animal farm, where in spring families come to see the lambs and baby goats. We have a place near me that looks kinda like this and people go in spring. Love this ❤❤

I would have liked to have seen a water feature going from the pavilion, under the road and out to the river. Also, if you have them, some old trains parked near the old train station as decoration.

It would be interesting to make a live after you run out of nodes and use node controller, intersection marking tool etc to just do the finishes for the map and then call it "100% complete" (i did the same for a older city i made, that city has a special place in my heart now)

i say, did you not know that trainstations can often be entered and exited on the back as well? this station you have there can be connected to the walking pathways you have there and people can then use it.

I can't place the accent, so I'm going for Uni Educated Egg, Going to Uni away from where people are from tends to dilute their natural accent. It's a bloody shame that you couldn't have done the maze with gravel path so sims were using it, but, it would have ended way oversized to stop the paths connecting.

It sort-of means; a certain exuberant style and Upper-Class elegance. That's my best translation lol! Maybe someone else can do better.

English speakers hate English and would rather speak words from a Greek-Latin root, as they're unknowingly taught from birth to see English as the mutt-tongue, and Greek and Latin as the "tongue of their betters". "Exude", from Latin means "to sweat out". I'm not even going to list how many English words you could put in it's stead as there's too many - and, might I say, few of them are as dirty and nasty as that lol. We don't have an English word for "grace" anymore, but in Middle English we had "held/hield" (grace), "este" (grace, favour, pleasure), "athmede" (grace), "are/ore" (grace, mercy, honour) - all from Old English from a Germanic root - but also all dead, so we can speak fancy Greek-Latin words instead. Decorum (appropriate social behavior/a convention of social behavior) is from Latin decorum, from decorus (proper, decent). "Rightful", "fitting", "seemly", "becoming", "couth" are English words that hit the same note; but, as you can tell, the Greek-Latin sounds better to a modern English brain. I know this isn't what you're asking, but I'm a nerd with an axe to grind :^)
