This reveal in my opinion honestly saved SB's plot for me. I love SB, but I never liked it for the plot. But now, I do. Because this reveal honestly gives me SO MUCH to dig into. Gregory being on Burntrap's side at first explains many things: 1. It explains the Burntrap lines from the trailer. He was clearly referring to two people- specifically saying "You two burn!". This could easily mean that at the time he said that, he was speaking to both Vanessa and Gregory 2. Him working for the bad side and then going for the other team so to speak would explain both why Gregory doesn't trust Vanessa, but also why she's hunting him down in the first place 3. It's why the animatronics know his name 4. It easily explains why he's so hesitant on saying his name to Freddy- in case Freddy recalls him and tries to kill him too (Since they're most likely wanting to kill him due to betraying Burntrap's plan and such) 5. For me it also explains why he was even in Freddy's chest to begin with. That was always a big question I had, but considering Patient 46 is a manipulator, a hacker, and a killer- him potentially being in Freddy's chest to at first corrupt him (since perhaps, with context of the story, he most likely broke from Afton's effect the first time) however didn't for whatever reasoning he had Sure, it doesn't explain why he's so clueless and all that, but I will still argue that SB now has at the very least an interesting story with elements on who's really in charge and I love that

chica’s the only animatronic to know Gregory’s name before vanessa learns it from freddy’s blunders. gregory would also be used to using a pen-name prior to sb so his hesitation to answer freddy could be him deciding which name to use. and im gonna add on gregory going by dr rabbit could just be from the dr scraptrap arcade machine since he’s a gamer(which also means he might not be working with glitchtrap/burntrap and vanny at all but instead be doing some other evil) why would burntrap suddenly be so aggressive and hostile to his controlled minions if he isnt that mad anywhere other than the trailer lines. alternatively burntrap could be threatening two enemies since he specifically says “you will do as i say” the princess quest”cassidy” and the blob are the most likely enemies for burntrap to have. ty

The thing is, he doesn't seem to remember. He knows nothing about vanny, glitchtrap nor burntrap so it doesn't explain why he is afraid of Vanessa or freddy. Also, Vanessa doesn't seems to remember nor knowing about being controlled by glitchtrap, she is probably only looking for him because is her job as the security guard Maybe Tony went to the pizzaplex to free Gregory and then got captured by Vanessa, but then why would Gregory not say anything about it idk.

Gregory might be Clueless because he was possessed by Glitchtrap, another vessel . So, he doesn't remember himself until we start playing him. Basically, Glitchtrap begin transmitting himself through the pizzaplex and lost control of GGY. So, Afton sends Vanessa to capture and brainwash him again.

Freddy having a personality shift like he does between GGY and SB I’ve seen RyeToast talk about is how, if Gregory does have Afton’s consciousness in him to be later extracted into the Burntrap body, then Glamrock Freddy would have commands to protect Gregory, hence him staring at the main character in GGY when he’s looking into GGY. Then, when Gregory gains his body back and runs away from Afton and Vanny, Afton uses Glamrock Freddy to find Gregory and he does so in the opening cutscene for SB where his “Capture Gregory” and “Protect Gregory” commands counter each other and cause him to have a system malfunction. Then he boots into Safe Mode which flushed out the virus and is why he is the only non-aggressive animatronic in the game. Heck, even his extreme protection of Gregory could stem from residual data of the “Protect Gregory” command which had been in him for who knows how long while the “Capture Gregory” command got removed or repressed (the latter could explain him killing you when at low battery as that command manages to resurface when his system defenses are weakened).

I completely understand why this would be part of the story and it's very interesting and could be deeply explored, I'm just slightly disappointed that the character I connected to and loved the most in this game was the bad guy all along. I really loved Gregory, he was my fav character, and while I can see it from a narrative point of view and it actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it, I feel really betrayed that the character I loved most and wanted to protect was bad all along

If it help, he was probably kidnapped and possessed by Afton for (according to the timeline of the book) for several months. Greg, in the book, was the new kid who came out of no where. One therapist found out 46's true identity, and said they lied about abuse when they had a healthy happy family. If this is Gregory, therapist could've been trying to get him to see reason but that session ends with 46 leaving very distressed. God, I wanted to smack that therapist.

I think I am more mad that we have to find game lore in purchasing books to get it, even earlier books in explaining Sun and Moon were once assign to the theater before coming to the daycare and explaining the purpose of the generators being in the daycare. At first I was iffy on the idea of Gregory being 46, but after thinking about it, it could make a lot of sense, at least under the idea he got glitchtrapped, it would explain the unused line from Burntrap in the trailer "if you fail me, both of you buuurrnn!", both of you being Vanessa/Vanny and Patient 46/Gregory. It also explains freddy's unused line in the files "Gregory, I know why your not in the database, I remember you from the-" Freddy was going to say he remembers him from when Greg hacked him and used him to kill the therapists. I have also seen people present the idea that the balloon World arcade game is to gregory as Princess quest is to Vanessa, it's the game that Afton has gregory's soul trapped in allowing his control over him, this is supported by there being cut lines in the files of Balloon World that were supposed to play once you Glitch the game that say "Hello?", "Come meet my friends", and "He made me do it", this could have been gregory talking trapped inside Balloon World, and people think that at some point someone (probably the person in the arcade conspiracy messages) played Balloon World and Glitched it freeing Gregory leading to SB.

I always take the novels as soft canon to the games. The novels are definitely on a seperate timeline and the Fazbear Frights/ Tales of the Pizzaplex seem to tell carious goosebumps style stories in the world. Almost like a multiverse of sorts. I look at the books as providing stylised truths. Such as the concept of Agony and how it functions seems to be universal or close to it. But exactly how it presents itself is different. So I look at it like this. We have the games timeline, books timeline(s) and later the movie. All built in the same core setting and rules but variants if one another. Like I said above a multiverse of such. So I wouldn't take it forbadum bit as a point in the right direction. God knows this series is complex enough already why not make it more messy to determine what's truth and what's turn of phrase

I will say, the scores that are over 99,000 kinda remind me of binary... like if you replace the 0 with 9... maybe that might lead to something? This could be my arg loving side talking though, but it's not like there isn't precedent in the history of fnaf to hide lore info like an arg. "You are broken" ... Does Greggory have amnesia? It's a tired trope, but it could explain a lot. And with the therapist, I think the biggest detail is that the sessions were being recorded and set back to the pizzaplex. I think it shows someone knew something was going on and they were in the position to try to investigate it. Vanessa could be ordered to go to therapy to keep her job; Greggory could be threaten in all sorts of ways. The dialog from Monty in the trailer (note; he has a more "southern" voice in the game, but in the trailer there's a light British undertone to his speech) indicates someone is mad at two people. Two people have a "job" and they are it screwing up.

It's important to note, Vanessa doesnt seem totally aware Vanny is going on, exactly. Plus if we went "X is a robot" route as well... The books also state "The Dead Forget.", that the MCI children not only forgot that Afton killed them, but also their original identities. Say... Susie believing that she's ACTUALLY Chica, not "Susie". If Greggory or Vanessa arent Human, who's to say they'd even remember? The MCI kids' memories were so warped they thought William was their Hero.

I think it would have been cooler if Security Breach is the story of how Gregory GOT the Pizza Pass, and the reason he goes in at night, not only is to play games, but to visit Freddy. As it stands, why doesn't game Gregory have the Pizza Pass, even if he doesn't have his memories, he should still have the Pass right? If he has been affected by Glitch Trap, and is part of all of this, why is Vanny after him? But also, aren't the books not cannon to the games, and hasn't the franchise used the name Jeremy several times for different characters? I wouldn't be surprised if the writers aren't in the loop, and just trying to make a story that fits everything together.

I think that freddy being nice in security breach is probably because of safe mode. His system crashed I[m guessing safe mode is probably a low-resource mode so he wouldn't overheat or crash again. I'm guessing that safe mode didn't start whatever software the glitchtrap virus is in and even possibly cut him off from he main server. that or The server was set to not allow any non-glitchtrap infected things. before his system crashed and was booted in safe mode he was probably completely under glitchtrap's control. Alternatively his short circuting may have corrupted or damaged the program which glitchtrap was attached to given that the crash happened while it was running or being booted. this could also explain why his battery is so bad although that probably wasn't the intention.

Ahem... *FNAF AR exists.* It simply serves as a transition between VR and SB. It was to be a time-gated game, rather than all-in-one deal, except Illumix decided they didnt wanna FNAF and pretended AR never happened. Abandoning the game after a few patches with CRITICAL chunks of the plot just... unreleased. Security Breach gives us quite a bit, but it's clear it suffers from two aspects. Overambition. And Time. First is simple, Devs wanted to make The Best Fnaf, a REAL live location you'd want to visit, that you could explore and STILL keep finding more, and so on. Secondly, Sony. They saw the Holiday Release coming up, told Steel Wool "release now or we dip", SW likely replies "uhh, it's not done, can we get a month or two?" Followed by "No, release NOW." SW scrambles to push something out by the deadline, they cut Acts 2 and 3 of the pilot's storyline, and shove the most bare vital components in (disappearances, The Blob, Afton Ending, etc) and push it out. Similar thing happened to ANOTHER Sony published indie game super hyped up... No Man's Sky. Also finally >nothing makes sense This is FNAF, Phone Guy is Purple Guy. FNAF 4, just FNAF 4. Sister Location. Whatever the fuck FNAF WORLD is. Miketrap. 83 vs 87 vs 85 bite 1 MCI vs 2 MCI Shadows Etc all prove the plot has always never made real sense.

That being said, how in the everliving fuck did Gregory, a child, ever convince someone - no, multiple people - to build a giant pizzaplex over a dead man's grave? To just chalk everything up to "he's a really good hacker" feels like a cheap way out of a conversation. "How did Gregory acquire this much money?" -> "he hacked a couple banks" "How did Gregory convince this many people to build a pizza plex?" -> "He had plenty of money." But if he was so good at hacking, how come he didn't recognise a virus on an arcade cabinet and got possessed by Glitchtrap? this is very contradictory, to the point that it's almost laughable. To me it doesn't make sense if it was ONLY Gregory. It feels like he would've gotten some help. Also does this make him the post-it note kid? Or is that a different thing? Either way, this might help to explain what the hell happened so far. Whether you consider Gregory = patient 46 = post-it note kid or not, the timeline should be: - Gregory gets possessed (how? idk) in the ruins of the pizzeria - (if you believe Gregory is post-it note kid, then this point in time might be where the post-it notes are coming from) - Gregory creates Fazbear entertainment - Gregory orders the pizzaplex to be made (how? idk) - Gregory orders a series of games to be made by indie developer - Gregory orders a VR team to make their own versions of those games - Gregory lures Jeremy/Tapegirl/Vanessa under Glitchtrap's control - Gregory follows Vanessa's footsteps making sure she doesn't spill the beans - Gregory assassinates anyone she tells too much or that asks too much (but not Luis? why? idk) - Gregory hacks into systems to hire Vanessa as head security of pizzaplex, which is nearly finished - Gregory implements glitchtrap virus into pizzaplex - Gregory somehow escapes possession (how? idk) - (if you believe Gregory is post-it note kid, then this point in time might be where the post-it notes are coming from) - Gregory gets recognised by Freddy (how? idk) - Freddy short-circuits (why? idk) and reboots into safe mode - Security breach events But then there's the whole "have you selected one?" "I have" thing that throws a wrench in that plan, doesn't it? Because it might be that Vanessa chose Gregory as a subject for the Glitchtrap virus in the first place. In that case, the question remains: who the fuck ordered a pizzaplex on a dead man's grave? And who greenlit the idea for two separate sets of game design companies (one indie)? and WHERE IS THE MONEY COMING FROM???

The idea of 46 and Gregory being two different facets makes so much more sense. The motivations and cluelessness were the main reasons I strongly disliked the ‘greg is 46’ theory to begin with, and the explanation makes enough sense with what we (probably??) know about how Vanny and Vanessa’s characters function.

As someone who writes I find it fascinating how this story just gets worse and worse. I have no idea what's going on but my best guess would be two many people with slightly similar ideas being unable to create a well rounded mystery plot due to balancing multiple creative minds with PR departments and producers. Even though Scott does control the narrative, a simple mistranslation from a ghost writer/subtitler in gendered language made this mystery literally impossible to solve until it was just bluntly said to us. The use of red herrings is boring, uncreative and frustrating as its a cheap way of creating an unsolvable mystery. I think keeping the books and the games separate is the best way to begin to fix things then mend the story with the Ruined DLC.

More accurately, it's Breadcrumbs because they had to cut the whole-ass 2nd and 3rd act of a storyline for time, cramming only the most critical parts in (eg afton's Blobbing) I'd say Overambition is a guilty party, but I suspect Sony is *MUCH* more to blame ultimately. The files and bugs on release show how fucking frantic the last days/hours before release probably were, probably not Doom Eternal OST frantic (and hopefully less shitting on the artist)... "It's release season, the time of biggest profits. You release NOW or we screw you, as the Publisher. No Delays."

@@higueraft571 ill grant some of that. Many games have issues due to being rushed out. But breadcrumb storytelling has been an issue the entire time. It was fine with the first two games but by the time SL rolled out it was getting old. Dont get me wrong i still enjoy following along and its fun to see channels theorycrafting but i worry we will never get a clear story lol.

Well-- The 9000+ codes made me think of binary, since it's 9 and 0 are so close in programming However, did you give us all the codes? Coz "00010 00100 01000" gives nothing.... The codes are also too short for Decimal code, but all together is too long, so it gives me "Undefined" aka, it's not that code. The second set I tried to match through an alphabet - but I don't thin FDEEE EEDEF and FGFDE is the thing we are looking for... Might wanna check through other number related ciphers. I found that it might be the Octal code, and the Octal code gave me this -> "�me��" The rest is garbage code, but this is becoming interesting. That being said, no guarantee it's the Octal Code, however, the Cipher identifier I used gave it to me as the most likely option- 23 4 12 is a date likely... April 12th 2023 or December 4th 2023. I think it's a dev hint. 87 - bite of 87... 333 might be just filling in the gap here, unless it's trying to emphasize that there were maybe 3 kids involved? Coz in the cutscene in Fnaf 4(??? If I have my ducks in order here) it was shown that the crying child was yeeted into Fredbears mouth by 3 kids. Also many ciphers use keys... Maybe GGY or Gregory could be a cipher key?
