We Jews believe it happened as the Creator Told us it happened. We stood THREE MILLION PEOPLE strong at the foot of Mt Sinai and both heard and saw His Word as He Told us His Laws. The xhristians take anything they want from Torah and say it "alludes" to their man-god story, while ignoring what it actually SAYS, not alludes to, lol. "I stopped at the 7-11 store today" might need to be interpreted to understand if it meant the person got out of the car and went into the store, or if they just stopped in front of the store, but it doesn't mean JC is coming back to save everyone because he's a "store" of mercy, lol. 7-11 isn't some secret code that means something about JC. It's about a guy who went to a 7-11, not JC. You took it out of context and made up that second part, which has nothing to do with the original guy stopping at the store! It doesn't say anything about JC, and neither does Jonah, or Isaiah, or anything else in the Hebrew bible. That's called "reading into" the text. You are reading things into a text that aren't there. Stop doing that to the word of G-d! Just stay with the original text, you'll be much better off.

The reason a Christian is COMMANDED to follow the Mosaic Law is that we believe that Jesus is the SEED the promise was made to, the SEEDS are the ones who have faith and follow the Mosaic Law. The difference is that for us the Levitical Priesthood has been replaced by a Melchizedek Priesthood. Jesus is our High Priest. Since the Levites were not just priests, but judges, we no longer stone people, or put a witch to death. We also do not have to obey any that pertain to the Levites and Temple. The appointed days belong to God and not man. Prior to the cross they pointed to Jesus, now they are to recognize the arrival. If there is no Law, there is no sin. We must have the Law to even know what sin is. Any Christian who claims the Mosaic Law was done away with is a liar and Jesus calls them such. Sadly, most of the modern Christians are these liars. What was never called food in the Mosaic Law is still not food. The modern church seems to think the covenant with Jesus is unconditional. It never was. It demands faith and obedience to the Mosaic Law. God does not change. Jesus only references the Written Torah and Tanakh when He spoke. The Mosaic Law is a must for true Christians. Paul taught nothing different than Jesus. This is a Jewish site, and they believe differently. The Galatians were not Hebrews, and they are not what has been taught of them. 1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1Jn 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1Jn 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. I’m late to the party, but have a question: why the Jews? You mentioned Koreans didn’t know…well, why not? Why didn’t G-d come to the Pygmy’s in the African jungles? Why did He only choose the Jews? I grew up forced to go to Roman Catholic Church, and “received” the sacraments (against my will). When I was older, a priest told my parents they weren’t correct for doing this to me. I’ve been on a search for what makes my soul happy, and found out the answer is G-d. I didn’t meet Him through Jesus, or a clergyman, rabbi, or holy man. G-d found me, picked me up, dusted me off, and told me he Loves me. I’ve never looked back. I’m just curious, why the Jews? I’m not a Jew…but I still feel the unconditional Love of the same G-d. There is a “messianic” Christian Bible “the Jewish Bible”. They’ve tossed in some Hebrew words here and there. In tiny letters at the bottom of the title page it says it’s a Christian messianic Bible. It puts Jesus in the Garden and all over Genesis. Obviously we would never call Torah or Tanack a “Bible”. But a lot of people believe the title. I reported it to the anti-defamation League, because it’s a misrepresentation. It’s not Jewish. It rewrites Torah which our scribes are forbidden to do.
