Love the name rufus for the car. Glad you've chosen to keep the colour 😊.

What a stunning car Mark.. I agree with your family.. Don't change the colour. The 'A' series is a great engine, but there are other choices that might be worth thinking about (but definitely not electric 😅🔥).

An R1 engine as it’s so heavily modified it would fit right in there

Any tips for bleeding the GMC227 and split system?🫡
@classicminiworkshop25 күн бұрын
Do it one pump at a time locking off the bleed nipple each time the pedal is returned to the top. You will need 2 people. Always start at the bleed nipple furthest away and work forward to the closest. For a RHD car, that should be N/S/R, O/S/R, N/S/F, O/S/F

@@classicminiworkshop Hi, thank you very much. I have the Gunson kit and helps however I have bled the system about 3 times now. I heard the MC has a risk of pushing the seals out if not done correctly? Thank you again for the advice, trying anything now to ensure the unit is back on the road

@@gsxrpat6147 If the master cylinder is old, when bleeding the brakes it can damage the seals inside due to the pedal pushing the piston inside further than it has done for a long time and damaging the seal.

@@classicminiworkshop Ah understandable. I replaced everything except the pressure valve and the hardlines to the 4 corners. Rest is all new. Hoping to have a go again this weekend. Got so many other parts just waiting to be installed however if there is no brakes there is no point. Have a great day further
