Ok!, Should be great a conversation between you and Brendan Eich 😉. I think to talk about JavaScript, security and blockchain will make a delicious plate 😋

I’m still a little confused as to what Viam does. Studied robotics engineering so when you talk about connecting the 2 I’m thinking of platforms like ROS that already use the node structure to connect sensors and software. Is Viam similar to that? Just a lil confused on how it’s making it more accessible.
@ricricric29 күн бұрын
Its much simpler than setting up a ROS install. Setting up ROS and its nodes is a huge task by itself. Viam is much more streamlined for a lot of tasks.
@natedavidoff668Ай бұрын
why do you need ai and cloud when most hardware interfaces with software via drivers. software developers just need to learn how to write drivers its not some crazy black box.
@mhxxd428 күн бұрын
What he said in the first 70 seconds is true, hardware is hard for developers that have only done software
@the8038627 күн бұрын
The discussion seems to imply that the software and hardware world are separate and so we need their services to connect them together? What am I missing here? Computer engineering and embedded systems have existed for a long time. Computer engineering as a field predates software engineering. And it's continuously evolving, giving rise to recent sub fields like intelligent devices and IoT.

19:58 Basically have a real time visual feed of the wine glasses… There are standards on where the “fill line” is on wine glasses so the AI systems just need to learn those “fill lines”… Bonus points… Make the robot swirl the glass of wine to air it out! LOL 😂🍷🤖🦾
