The visuals on this review mostly show the Gen 2 Beam but I did use the sub mini with both and the overall listening experience was really close

Just added the sub mini to my beam 2. A nice little firecracker to improve my Beam! Clarity have improved greatly on my Beam. Highly recommended!

Do you adjust the bass in the beam at all or leave that at zero? I’m assuming when you said you adjust the treble you meant on the beam right?

planning to get the Arc with this Sub Mini (with 2 x One SL as rear satellites) in my new house, with a dimension of 4100mmW x 3150mmD living room, and the rear end extending a further 4100mm into the dining area. Sub G3 could be an overkill

I've never felt the Gen 3 Sub was overkill if you have very wide variety of movies and music you like to listen to. It would be a good choice to go with the sub mini if you share a wall with a neighbor, music you like has low to limited bass, not into action/Sci-fi big explosion movies, and zero plans to go with a dual sub set-up later.

There’s no arguing the sub 3 is a better product, but the price makes it so much harder to justify. Of course mate, it’s from a company called NatureWall, I talked about it on my living room tour 🤙🏼

Another great review, I am interested in SONOS videos as I have the full Arc ,sub and surround one SL set up, partnered with my LG G1 77inch TV , I love the look and sound I have achieved with this set up. I may buy the Sub Mini to go with my LG G1 65inch tv in my spare room that is with the Gen 1 Beam at moment and I think this may just give me a better sound with my TV and with music too. I have the same Arc set-up with my LG 77C1 with Fives are rear surrounds and a second Gen 3 Sub. I added the Beam/Gen 3 Sub/One SL surrounds to my Office LG 55C1 and Beam/Gen 3 sub/Symfonisk surround to my master bedroom LG 55C9. Started with the sub mini in the master bedroom; but, sent it back and replaced with the Gen 3 sub to fill the room a bit better (16'X20' size). Hate paying for it; but, love listening to it.

My concern is pairing this with a sonos beam Gen 2 in my 12x13 ft room is it gonna disturb the people in the room next to mine since the only thing separating us is thin drywall and plywood

Well done for being a considerate neighbour! You can turn down the sub volume independently from the sound bar if you’re conscious of disturbing others. Obviously this will impact your listening experience but it’s probably your best compromise 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you think this transformed your set up, than why the hell did you wait so long? The Sub Gen 3 puts the Sun Mini to shame. Your living room is not cramped or small, you should’ve went with the Arc and Gen 3, your loss.

@@JorgePowell I looked at your living room, you have an open concept and a balcony, it’s too big for the sub mini. Your living room needs the Arc and Gen 3. The reason Sonos did not implement the 2 sub mini setup option is because they said 2 sub minis are more expensive than one Gen 3 and still not as powerful as 1 Gen 3. So clearly you don’t need to compare them, Sonos would tell you that.

I want a sub to match my Arc, going into a 15m2 living area which is considered a medium size room. I feel the sub gen 3 is…..overkill but will do the job as opposed to the mini being not quite enough. You see my predicament.

Tricky one! If your living room isn’t huge then maybe try the Sub mini for a bit to see if it provides the experience you’re after. If you have the budget though… go big 👀

Just got a sub mini and I am very familiar with car audio (ported sub systems) and I will say I am extremely impressed with the output. My room seems similar size as yours and it sounds very nice. If you want more output (you feel the bass) I would do the gen 3. If you want sound quality (still with impressive output) I would do the mini. PS the cone surface area of the mini is greater than the gen 3. The gen 3 is louder because its ported but the sealed mini will sound much better for music and movies
