Then it would need to pass reconciliation, which it wouldn't. Then it would have to get a supermajority in the Senate (i.e., the replacement rule for the filibuster), which it wouldn't. Political Christianity is the fixation on worldly politics above and beyond one's devotion to Christ. True, we're told to pray for our leaders, but what fellowship has light with darkness? As far as I can tell, Trump has more in common with King Saul than David, as if millions of Christians have been asking for a king to rule over them in the place of God, focusing so much on American politics that Christ becomes an afterthought (not saying I know Trump's heart or spiritual destiny, but just how a lot of conservatives view him). I'm convinced that America has already been weighed, measured and found lacking. We fit the descriptors of mystery Babylon more than any other nation and judgement is far, far closer than virtually anyone would like to admit. The idea that Trump is going to somehow usher in some kind-of Christian/conservative golden age is ridiculous because the vast majority of the American church is as apostate as it gets, home to the world's most prolific false teachers/prophets. Not to mention we're the porn/drug/satanic entertainment/arms dealing/etc. capitol of the world. A lot of people want to believe that things are going to get better so that they don't have to face the harsh reality of the condition of their own soul. It's time to repent and seek God with everything you have, because time is very very short with the tribulation being right around the corner.

If you are a one issue voter only and you decide to sit this one out, go ahead, and when the communists win see if you ever get another opportunity to win the hearts and souls of your friends and neighbors and finally bring it to an end! Trump at least preserves the freedom of speech so that we can continue to preach and plea with others to see the pagan barbarism for what it is, also if you think about it, the many faithful Pregnancy centers that do may interventions will be quickly shutdown resulting in many more babies slaughtered. Also, Trump is good at playing with words and phrases and within the phrase "women's reproductive rights" is included the incentive for IVF - LIFE! Oh, and by the way, Trump's position is identical to Reagan's with the exceptions clause (which I disagree with) but it's better than the alternative. And if that is the reasoning of many Christians, then their values are compromised and they won't be able to make sacrifices like the Christians of old. Plus, we should not depend on national leadership but to focus more on local issues and local elections because states have to be independent of Washington DC and can always oppose Washington DC. That is who Democrats behave so their states and cities defy any Republican president but for some reason, not all Republican led states and cities defy a Democrat president. Maybe because many Republicans are not true Christians or have lower standards and are just career politicians like Democrat colleagues. I don't trust both parties even though Republicans are the lesser evil but still evil and the bible said we should turn away from evil and not compromise.

Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment." our God is not up there nervously watching, hoping we vote for the correct person. And, if we don't, He's going to be like, "they didn't choose the right person. Well, I got to submit to the will of the people." NO! To quote the Newsboys, "I'm not following a god I can lead around. If you guys actually understood the U.S. Constitution, the federal government NEVER had ANY authority to ban or force ANY abortion in ANY STATE. It also doesn't have the authority to prevent any state from allowing it. This (just like murder...which abortion is) is a state by state problem which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the FEW, enumerated powers that our founders ALLOWED the SERVANTS in the federal government to have. Now, if the unborn baby is of a mother who is serving in the federal government, that's another story. This is the only time that our Constitution allows the federal government to get involved with murder or abortions with is also murder. Meaning, Roe vs Wade was nothing but tyranny that we ALLOWED our states and the federal government to enforce. Our red states should have told the Supreme Court and the President that it didn't have the authority to get involved in this case. We should have put a stop to that in the red states while DARING the President and the sniveling cowards in the federal government to do something about it. If we would have done that, I strongly believe that the sniveling cowards in the federal government would have been too cowardly to start a bloody, civil war over it. Please study the Federalist Papers. The Federalist Papers > than the sniveling, ignorant justices in the Supreme Court. And I have the proof for that, too. And as a Christian, I strongly believe that it is our duty to know these facts about our government and about the ones who decide to 'serve' in our government to 'serve' our country and our Republic. I believe that it is our duty to know the 'powers' that they truly have. Because, if we just stand by and watch more innocents get murdered, because Big Brother says that we have no choice, who is really at fault, here?

But by making it a state level it gives power back to the state that the federal level has taken away. @Plasmagon99
@Plasmagon99 21 күн бұрын
@@sterlingmarshel6299 You're half right, women do have rights to their own bodies, but unborn babies also have the rights to their own bodies. So to make sure we balance everyone's rights we ban abortions of babies that can't fight back on their own. In life-or-death situations we prioritize the mother over the baby. Otherwise women need to stop having unnecessary sex to stop needing abortions. Also, if a woman doesn't want a rapist's baby, then she should hang out with friends, avoid excessive alcohol/drug intake, avoid shady locations, and carry a handgun for self-defense. 2A is a human right too. Finally, if all other methods have been used and a woman still ends up pregnant with a baby she doesn't want to raise, then adoption is the last option left.

In a republic is a state issue. Christians need to grasp this and work locally. If one wants Christian Nationalism like the Papacy wielded for 1260 years, well, unfortunately, I think that is where this swing from "Dark" to "Light" will take us soon enough. But for now, we have to deal with out current reality, and that is being Christian in a Republic. That means 1) people who claim to be Christian need to act like it more consistently, and 2) we work with the Constitution we've been blessed with and only give the Federal government the powers designated to them and give the rest to the states. Again though, the road is narrow and it's probably foolish to think that most people calling themselves Christian truly are. Vote Trump into office, and appreciate whatever good he does, but ultimately Jesus is the savior.

One thing I heard not to long ago from a pastor was the idea that no politician will fix your life. There is an idea that if just the right person gets elected then things will be better. But really no matter who wins, we need to have faith God in in control, and we should not put our faint in any political candidate, our faith should be in Christ. If you start living the people of this world you will be led astray. Now as he stressed you can, and should, still vote for the right person but we need to remember God is always in control no matter who wins. Trump is trying to win an election, one where the main talking point of his opponent is the republicans are going to end all abortion. And they are shifting a bit to say we want the states to decide it. This is a tactic to try and sway independents who like abortion. It is not something I would get up in arms about, even though I would like to see there be no abortion, I would also like the reason there are no abortions to be because people chose life. But just because Trump appears more pro-choice here does not mean I won't still vote for him. But I also will never put my faith in him nor anyone person of this world running for office. Since Christ says the world will hate us and were are not to live for this world, that means we have to disconnect a bit from it, and not to expect the world to elect someone who agrees with us 100%, we will always have a flawed president, and if anything we'd better better served to focus more on state and local politics if any, and beyond that always focus on Christ more than any worldly issues.
