One of the few parts of a car that are easier to put on than take off.

I had a mousearooney eat through a brake servo hose for a fella this week . The brakes have turned to wood was his complaint. He could of ended up flying through the woods .

Sods those fuel pipe clips are I find a couple of squirts of brake cleaner while removing helps them slide a little easier 😊

Tidy job Baz, I bet the fuel pipes from Audi were expensive? Nice easy fix but not DIY since you need a computer to plug in 😢😎

Hello @bazmeredith, many thanks for these most interesting videos. I have done a searcharoonie to try to locate those special pliers to release the pipe clips but I could not find them. Could you let us have more details so that I can buy a pair please? Thanks.

I've had one for about 6 months use it all day long. Can't fault it. Eurocarparts were doing them on a good deal when I purchased it.

I recently filled two new drive shifts for a customer that came back 2 weeks later to have his brakes done as I advised needed doing and I noticed cv greas leaking from a small hole in a boot I'm 99% sure was a 🐀 bite but how can you prove that especially so soon after you have worked on that part.

Sorry that should have been I fitted new drive shifts ps I am dyslexic but predictive text is to blame this time 😉

I was told that the reason why the rodents go for some plastics more than others is because the manufacturers use palm oil as an ingredient...👍

Well that's interesting to know and something to look into

I heard that the wire casings on VAG cars contain corn starch in the manufacturing process but not sure how true it is 🤷
@-doggy-667021 күн бұрын
You normally find that the rubberised outer coatings on the fuel pipes, wiring and the smaller vac hoses are what they go for.As the rubber ages it weeps the palm oil.....its why you find very localised damage.....👍

The only thing on my Japanese Honda Accord the mice go for is the Polypropylene blue plastic washer bottle cap. Same on my old Peugeot 406 plus the black insulation foam around its aircon metal tubing.
