Did my Tig @61k.. screen was really clean. Gotta use the vw “coupling fluid,” the one with the pic of haldex on it, it’s 850ml.

How much did you need? I need to do my wife but the internet is full of bull shit 😮

One bottle will suffice. Should take around 3/4 of it.

@@JdsjsKdmem 1 bottle is enough; there was like an ounce or two left over after filling.

Wow...no filter/screen cleaning? Not even a mention? Thanks for making this video.

This is the way the factory repair manual has you do it. The screen cleaning seems to be an aftermarket thing. Possibly to charge you more money.

no screen cleaning?

Nope. Waste of time and money. Volkswagen the manufacturer does not instruct to do that.

@@LukesTechTips I guess you have never seen a clogged screen or lose AWD. It doesn't take much effort.

I think the idea of preventative maintenance is to avoid a situation where you would lose AWD or have the screen get clogged. In the aftermarket where you have people with 150k and have never done it I’m sure it happens. This is how it is performed at the dealership from the instructions of the repair manual. I’ve had 2 AWD problems in the last 10 years and both were very new vehicles covered under warranty. If cleaning the screen makes you more comfortable by all means do it.

Might be good to add the year model Tiguan since there are multiple Haldex versions now. Thanks.
