I live in South Africa and we literally don't have our own server so we forced to play the lowest ping servers For the most part it doesn't lag but some games out of many it'll be really really bad Ironically bahrain servers are lower ping for us but we usually use london

@@sibusisolanga2393 it's In the middle east, that server would probably give me the least ping and easiest matches but it takes me 10 mins to load into a game. Even then, my teammates land alone and get themselves killed so I go to London servers instead.

I'd say put a limit to which servers you can actually connect to depending on how high the ping is, but I know there are some people that use other servers since they're closest one is very under populated.

This would kill the South African community which isn't as small as you probably think.... On a good day the best ping we could get is 190. That's on a good day

I live in latinamerica, so by default my play server should be Brazil, funny enough (aside from that the server is almost dead), i have less ping playing on NA servers (120ms sometimes spikes to 150) than in brazil servers (180ms, rarely goes below that, and 8 out of 10 games are broken with slow-mo or teleporting back and forth) so yeah, i'm quite happy i don't get kicked

@Anton Frags I play from South Africa too, in Limpopo, often Bahrain has lower ping than the European servers, like 160-180ish vs 210ish, but the queue time in ranked on the Bahrain servers takes vokken ages so it’s not even worth the better ping

Bahrain is the default server for Indian players but nobody plays it and queue times are extremely long so everyone prefers Singapore anyway. I hope this news brings more players to this server.

As someone whose default server is Bahrain I speak from experience, it takes ages to get into a match and for players in India the server ping is near 100 all the time and in order to play one needs to connect to the closest alternate server in my case Singapore where the ping is 120+, we need a closer and better server

Since I live in the middle East I used to play on Bahrain and it took like 10 to 20 minutes to get in a game and then I would end up dying pretty early too. Now I play in the Belgium servers.

All they need to do is make it so that once you have masters or specifically pred, they begin to limit the servers you can transfer to - aka only ones with good population health. This would alleviate a portion of the problem without causing that much grief for most of the players. A region lock is the most asinine and anti consumer thing you can do, especially because they service many countries such as SEA and AU with low populations, especially AU, and matchmaking is fucked later in the night and higher elo. We go to other servers to play with friends, and population.

Honestly this issue could be fixed If there were not so many servers and grouping areas as a whole eg not having Sydney Singapore and Japan as seperate servers and just having them all as one server Oceania like in cod it increases players and there are less servers to maintain so less issues

I live in Iran and I tried many times to get in the ranked lobby on this data center but you can’t even get into a match cuz number of people who play rank in that server is so low that you would need to wait like an hour to get into match.so it’s not as efficient as you think.

Bahrain is the best server for Middle East Countries in terms of latency, but it only has about 150 players. Queue time is so terrible that I chose to play at EU servers with 200ms Ping

Why is there a Bahrain server in the first place when there's almost no one playing there? I'm from India and it defaults me to either Bahrain (70 ms) [queue for 10+ mins with no matches] or Singapore (100+ ms). depends, on pc it’s nearly impossible, but on console you can get pretty consistent games depending on what time of the day it is. i usually find matches pretty easily between like 6 to 12 in the evening
