I have a couple of tricks that help with a couple of these; if a minifig head is stuck, rotate it as you pull off. For the two small plates stuck together, attach two brick separators (one to the top studs and one to the bottom antistuds) and then squeeze the handles together.

I've been building and collecting since I was five, I'm 51 now. In regards to number one, many years ago, when I was six or seven, I was gifted a wonderful little tool that I quickly discovered had a much more important purpose than it was originally intended to have. A local bar in my hometown, Chet O'Kelly's, used to give away these little keychain novelties. They were about two inches long, consisted of a flat screwdriver/bottle opener, a nail file, and a knife. When I received it, the knife was extremely dull, but still had a little edge. My young mind soon realized it was perfect for getting between the seams of Lego pieces with little to no damage. It also works great as a pry tool for those pieces with a lip, of to pop pieces apart from underneath. I still have and use this tool to this day. Ironically, I've only used a Lego brick separator a few times, and I've always found them useless. (I know I'll catch it for that, but it's my opinion and experience.) As for some of the other "issues" presented, I'm very protective of my Lego pieces and parts, and watching some of the "ridiculous" antics makes me cringe. LOL. I've never stepped on any of my Lego pieces and I've never purposely dropped or smashed any of my creations. I have purchased old collections and found some rather odd items in them, including non-lego pieces from other manufacturers, especially Tente (spell check), if anyone remembers that rather old knockoff? I've found matchbox cars, action figure accessories, and stuff I simply couldn't identify. But the oddest thing I've ever found was actually a real Lego from the earliest days, little trees no thicker than 1/8" and shorter than a minifigure, I wish I could post pictures, but of course, I cannot. Sadly, the one about older pieces not matching with newer pieces has recently become an issue for me. While building my latest creation, several two by four bricks have given their lives for the cause, apparently, older bricks not made of PVC, will deteriorate over time and their dimensions are ever so slightly thicker than modern bricks, so while one can stack a newer PVC brick on an older brick, one cannot stack an older brick on top of a newer brick without risking cracking and destroying the older brick. RIP my poor bricks, you will be missed. And on that note, I shall bid you all adieu. LOL.

I've separated 2x2 plates just by snapping each of them onto 2x2 round bricks and flexing gently. They pop right open just enough to slide your fingernail or brick separator underneath. Sometimes they even come right apart. 1x2 is even easier to get apart. 2x3 plate, sometimes a challenge, fairly easy if you know to just use some extra LEGO bricks as leverage. Plates can also work, a pair of 2x6 plates will separate 2x2 and 2x3 plates easily. It's all about knowing that LEGO bricks can grip other LEGO bricks and are a perfect brick separator themselves! Most people have plenty of spare bricks or plates, that don't get used for anything, that can fit this role perfectly. 😊👍

I have only partially experienced the last one, (and the mixed brands but they all fit just fine because I forced them to adjust to lego standards) but I don't take pieces from othe builds, I just snag a piece from a less noticable or covered up part of the build and replace it with the closest thing to it, which is usually a light gray grate piece or an off brand tile piece.

If you break Lego pieces, you can use the same type of glue that is used for model kits like Revell or Airfix. It’s not super strong, but it’s going to hold up. If the broken piece is stacked between some other pieces, it works just fine.

The most triggering was when you stepped on Lego. My soul’s foot got hurt. I can’t remember the feeling of stepping on Lego, but my little brother had Lego in his room. This was 6 years ago. (When I lived in Florida, but now I live in London)

Lol when he’s talking about stepping on Lego, I don’t step I trip, and when I put my hands out to protect my fall Legos to the hands.

I was helping my cousin build a technical set and they but the two separate parts too close but I didn’t tell them and brutally shoved the pieces in and hide the others that didn’t fit . It turned out great but hurt my soul

I used to build things with various colors and fake and real LEGO. Once, I built a "working" F-14 Tomcat from scratch, and it may have been small. I dropped it later, and several pieces snapped. I preserved it and turned it into a boat.

When the brittle browns attack, I try to hide them away in the middle of a build, or in a spot where they won't be a problem. I do keep some damaged bricks also to represent... well, damaged bricks.
