I just woke up early and had added your video into my watch later playlist because of your title but my thoughts felt a little rambled from your ways of navigating the essence of it all until the 15th minute mark. It was like you made sense and yet deviated from what you were getting at the same time. I wasn’t sure if it was just me or if I didn’t have a sense of understanding until I read your comment as well. I love that you are putting out important observations and how it’s true that a quality idea beats quantity, I am a big believer of all that but please try to stay on topic before you ramble into other thoughts that play out as you speak 🙌🏻

@14:09 - That's the KEY POINT. How can one learn to rehabilitate themselves from the wage worker mindset? As you're used to have tasks flow to you, be told what you're doing today, and now as a solo creator you have to generate those missions yourself.

The truth : I have plenty of time, so I stopped my every day work, for 2 years and I decided to do 4 hours of deep work every day ( after watching 100's of videos that they speak about that ). What I have learned is that is extremely difficult to do 4 hours of Deep work in a day. Usually you can do 45 min, after a walk, after another 45 min, after some other task, after 30 min.. etc. so the deep work can only be applied for 2-2.5 hours, the rest is leisure work. That's why the more realistic goal that a normal human being can do is 2.5 hours of deep work (max). This is my experience, no matter how much I have tried. (MSc educated).

The biggest disadvantage of all note taking and productivity software is that they have their own space where everything happens. Thus I need to get out of my context and enter the context of the productivity software in order to write something. If I want to start a project, some of the information will be in files in a folder in my computer (mind maps, spreadsheets, images, PDFs, documents...), some of the information will be in Google Docs or Google Sheets and some of the information will be in notes in my note taking program like Notion, Kortex or Workflowy. It is supposed the productivity program to help me focus, not to distract me. The best productivity program should be like a conductor of an orchestra. It should be like a file manager where everything is it at your fingertips. I imagine a file manager which can do notes, Google Sheets, to do lists and it's easy to use as a simple note-taking program.

I get a lot of inspiration watching your videos , I also bought the OPBP and something happens when i watch your content : I'm becoming determined to follow through . But the inspiration deflates rather quickly because I can't bring myself to focus or be consistent . I lose focus and concentration quickly , i become restless and distracted (Mainly doom scrolling and engaging in comments in a time consuming manner ) Since I have been battling with ADHD from childhood pretty much , I feel desperate and lost and I lose hope that is will change . I used to be medicated for it but I'm not anymore . Do you have an advice for people in my status ? Can you recommend a good method to overcome it? I feel that my life is stuck because of that and that my progress is slow and that I will always have to chase 9-5 jobs in order to keep going. I'm a creative person - songwriter , writer and the occasional actor/ comedian , but even with that i have never really achieved a structure that would work and translate it into an income. I'm sorry to overflow this comments section here with this issue , but i needed to share and vent. Hope that somehow resonates with a good advice or tip(s) that i could use. Thank you
