A low body fat percentage is not healthy, the reason people say "the best shape of my life" is they are referring to the aesthetics of physique, not necessarily performance and overall wellness...
@reecegeorgens17553 жыл бұрын
Depends on what you consider low. For most people, 15% seems out of reach but that’s a good healthy place to be at for guys. Sub 10% is unrealistic and unhealthy for 99% of people but sadly most people want to get there because all they see is the good looking guys pullin.
@godofgamers38843 жыл бұрын
The thing is Olympic 100m sprinters like usain bolt perform best at “low” body fat percentages. They are always under 11% before a race. The average is actually around 9% for elite male sprinters. Being at low body fat is how these athletes such as them perform their best so I don’t thinks it’s accurate to make a general statements about performance and body fat.
@BobFosterMedia3 жыл бұрын
90% of people in the US are fat. Worrying about a too low bodyfat % is something few really have to worry about. As the other comment says, 15% is "low" the average guy.

Hey austin... Would running 3 times a week with weight resistance training be sufficient... Or running(cardio) is compulsory everyday...?
@44godson3 жыл бұрын
I know this isn't directed towards myself, just wanted to add some info. Cardio os a great way to get shredded. 3x a week isn't compulsory. I believe it to be a moderate frequency. 200-300 cal per cardio session (exercise intensity dependant). Protein intake is crucial, because it takes more pf the bodies energy to metabolize them vs Carbs and fats.
@DanielSquires3 жыл бұрын
What is “compulsory” is a CALORIE DEFICIT. That’s it. Weight resistance will build/ maintain muscle, cardio just makes it easier to burn more calories in a day. Cardio should be either low intensity (walking or slow cardio) OR high intensity, sprints, fastest movement cardio in intervals. (Running and jogging are not optimal for maintaining muscle. Just check out LISS and HIIT training.
@joshuamorales10953 жыл бұрын
I’d go with some basic body weight stuff, push-ups, pull-ups, sit-ups and then when that’s at a good level begin explosive training like sprints or hopping over gates which is amazing for explosiveness all round set a 2 min timer see how many you can do. I suggest a 10 foot or higher wall.
