Saw this after having already ordered cards to build a very similar deck, you have some great ideas for ways to modify it in the future. One thing to add though is you kept mentioning evasion to trigger dethrone, but dethrone triggers on attack not player damage, so technically if you steal a creature, attack the player with the highest life with it, then they block and kill your creature, it already got the +1/+1 counter and would come back untapped.

Hellkite courser in marchesa deck provides some funny business since you get to play her for free, not even increasing commander tax. Get around the bounce problem by having marchesa killed before the endstep with a counter on her

Canoptek Tomb Sentinel from the 40k decks is AMAZING in Marchesa. Whenever it ETB's specifically from the gy, exile target nonland permanent (it hits enchantments!). Seize the Spotlight will ALWAYS draw 3 essentially free here since you get 3 treasures offsetting the 3 cost. It doesn't target for the theft option (not that that'll choose the option) which is downright gross. Vigean Graftmage is overlooked by most Marchesa decks. It can immediately protect Marchesa and/or it enables the abuse of any etb/death trigger (or 2 w/ Sage of Fables out) on everyone's turn. Just have Vigean enter first then the other etb/death creature gets a counter from graft when it enters. It's all of 30 cents for a foil, this card is criminally underrated. Gary each turn? Check! Imp Recruiter? Yup. Canoptek from above? Sure. Kardur Doomscourge is one of my favorite etb's to abuse now. The pseudo goading gets rid of so many small annoying utility and hatebear creatures and protects you from combat (including hastey boys).

I'm putting together a deck for this. I'm much lighter on evasion than you, because (as GerbFPV points out) you don't need to land the hit to get the token from dethrone, but there are some obvious picks for me that I'm surprised you missed. Iron Apprentice is a 1 mana artifact creature which enters the board with a 1/1 token on it, and gives that token to someone else after it dies. Perfect way to keep your stolen goods in the game. Grave Betrayal means any creatures that your opponents lose automatically become yours with a 1/1 token on it Undying Malice/Undying Evil/Feign Death - B Instant that gives one of your creatures Undying for the turn, meaning if they die they come back on your end step with a 1/1. Really good panic buttons for when your opponent's about to kill something you didn't manage to get a token on. Glen Elendra Archmage - essentially gives you a U counterspell that's usable once per round Skyclave Shadowcat is easy to keep alive, and gives you card draw whenever you would trigger Marchesa's resurrection. If you're having trouble with card draw, that'll fix it. Fain the Broker gives you a sac trigger that puts 1/1 tokens on things, and is triggerable multiple times a turn if you have the mana to untap him. Plus some extra jazz, if you've stolen more than you know what to do with.

Looks very fun and synergistic. Sadly it has quite a lot in common with my "Henzie" deck, so I probably won't build it. I do have an idea for taking her a different route though: 1) Playing all the "modular" creatures along some other artifact creatures. 2) Keep on sacrificing all but one of them each turn to build big artifact bearers. 3) Control the board with "Grave Pact", "All Will Be One" or "Warstorm Surge" and slowly decimate the table.

A bit late to the party but she has several unique ways to build her. I've had my Marchesa deck built since about 3 months after she came out, or about 8 years now. There are modular builds, etb/death trigger abuse like the video (and mine actually), tribal (wizards, pirates, or zombies usually), opponent discard (google Masochist Marchesa, it's the first result and is on on tappedout, check my maybeboard), or aggro where you actually don't want your stuff dying. She's so unique for these colors and is so flexible in how she can be built. She's far and away my favorite commander and is so much fun to pilot.

Too slow. I've trimmed most of the fat from my marchesa list, I want at least a creature and a sac outlet out by turn 4 when I cast marchesa. She'll keep the creatures around and they can get very fat even if they start at 1/1.
