Spot with the Prime 4 assessment. Got that unit specifically for my travel RV - thinking it'd be expandable with those decks (saw them DJ Pierre's setup). In fact, that should have been their #1 priority is streamline compatibility with Prime 4. I can't even make sense of why they didn't do it.

I think it's a marketing strategy or something. Denon Prime 4 users already bought a Denon product. They just have to wait till one of the next updates. Pioneer users however can now easily buy an Denon DJ product to get their 4 channel deck setup ready a lot cheaper then with a pioneer product. If they like it, maybe they consider to make the switch to a full Denon setup in the near future. I think that's the reason why. otherwise, I can't understand them either lol.

Looking forward to Traktor integration ... that might be really really nice with Kontrol X1 MK2 for the effects. Actually I'm playing with DDJ 1000 with specific Traktor Mapping from Pedro Estrella, I guess this Denon player will be adopted by many many softwares... This is clever to upgrade your system and Denon is going extra miles now compared to Pioneer ... The battle is started, let's wait about Pioneer engineers what will they offers as countermeasures then

Just got a pair of these the other day along with a Pioneer DJM S7. They work great together. I had bought the Rane One controller but had to send it back because it was defective. I like the LC 6000 a lot better.

Great review. Is it possible to pair two LC6000 with the Denon DJ X1850 Prime and a laptop and use either Engine DJ or Aerator DJ Pro?. I realize that this wouldn't necessarily give you ideal 4 deck control but, I'm curious if it could work. Being able to connect the laptop to these 3 pieces and choose to use either Engine DJ or Aerator DJ Pro.

Those jogwheels are nice! Cool looking but it's very disappointing that it didn't launch compatible with the Prime 4.Denon asked a lot of DJs when it asked us to switch to it's new "eco system" instead of just trust in the standard Pioneer system. Now it launches products that aren't compatible with parts of it's own "eco system," while claiming to be cutting edge? Really, being non compatible with your own products is not very "cutting edge" tech wise. It works with Serato but not Prime 4? Curious choice. This was in development a long time too, it has been appearing in DJ videos unmentioned for quite a bit. This isn't even really a "new" product type. Numark launched something very similar over ten years ago (guess Numark was cutting edge) and if memory serves- Numarks was semi motorized (and cheaper). I think it is also prob 100-150$ overpriced as well (no screen, just a controller not a player). Curious choice overall.

I was just surprised it didn't launch with it. The Prime 4 is the flagship of their Engine ecosystem and this controller seems like a natural fit to work with the Prime 4. Hopefully soon though. I have been using more Pioneer lately (DDJ 1000). I really love how Rekordbox backs everything up automatically and lets you work on your playlists and cues on multiple devices. It has really helped with my workflow and organization. I still use my Prime 4 too and I would love to try out the LC6000. Hopefully they get it together soon.

Virtual DJ can do a lot of advanced things but we can't always advertise custom audio set ups as it would confuse the majority of people. I wouldn't ever recommend trying to use 4 decks on a controller with only 2 faders without the ability to swap the faders (DDJ-SB3 for example)

You can map a lot of the LC6000 however Pioneer DJ have (very purposely) taken out the ability to map the jog wheels. So sadly unless it's made by Pioneer DJ and supported in Rekordbox, you can't add a full deck or controller in yourself
