@SiTheShireHorse2 жыл бұрын
Reverse headstocks don’t increase string tension. To increase string tension you either need to have a longer scale length or use a thicker gauge string. The section of string past the nut to the tuners doesn’t effect the scale length.

With that being said I'll say this again the section of string past the nut to the tuners doesn't have any effect on the strings tension.

@@Molotov_Milkshake They're not "microphones" i.e.basically a small speaker wired up to work in reverse. Wax potting stops pickups from doing that.

@@Molotov_Milkshake No, i'm describing two different types of pickups: Wax potted and not wax potted. The former has great "silence" when not playing' the other acts like a microphone and amplifies every vibration in the guitar whether or not it was from the strings. So when you try to make "silence" in a loud concert with it you get instant screaming feedback that you can't stop since you can only stop the strings from vibrating, not the coils inside the pickups. Wax does that job well. SMG hasn't debunked that basic fact at all. He'll confirm it.

@@zippyclips346 I do. It's a lot better than I thought it would be. Mine has the burst on the head stock and the nut is a matching white. Thought I'd need to adjust the intonation, but it came damn near perfect. (Came with some heavy gauge strings, I actually had to put on "Lighter" 56-13's to get it into C Standard) No dead frets either. Pickups were not micro-phonic, to my surprise, as well. Holds tuning well. It's a chunky boy for sure. The only durpy looking thing about it, is the fret markers. Pretty sure they used a marker, and they are not lined up well. 🤣 It's def on par with a 1k Epiphone, other than the fret markers. I'll try to make a video with it in the not too distant future.
