I bought them from a different chinese factory with only minor differences. The quality is good. The lights are pretty bright and the battery lasts even in the brightest setting for a complete wedding. But unfortunately one of the batterys is dead after a year and the factory will not ship a new one, because it is "complicated" ... Those Stands are in deed a bit flimpsy. But you can tighten the screws with loctide to hold them inside the "leg-holder". I mean the ring, that holds the legs.

@19Jose91 I disassembled the battery. It are 6 cells, not labeled and they have a battery-management soldered inside. Replacement will be possible but also not cheap and some work to do for soldering... I bought mine from BlueSea Lighting / NWIITC

I bought a set of these a month ago Daryl and sold them last week. Picked up a set of used V1 10 case of ape sticks for £100 more UK. They work better for my needs and eye candy and a bit less “vegas” look that these have. I like these just a bit “clunky” in design and use. I’m not a DMX phobe and the ease of use of the APE with my ape tubes, coins & cans is far easier for my needs. I do have 12 of the IR4’s and they’re great as uplight and dance floor lights with my W-app all together. Nice review though. 👌

Keen to get some myself but my fear is that guests will grab them and use them as light sabres as they look like toys. Has this ever happened to you before at a gig? How do you stop people from grabbing them?

I've had someone grab an uplight but never one of these. Having them on mic stands behind the booth definitely helps

Hey Daryl! Happy to report my findings using the app for the 360 tubes. 1. There is not way to engage the different sound modes. 2 There is no way to engage the different auto modes. 3. There is no way to engage the strobe. I was able to select state colors from the color wheel which I thought was really cool!@@DJDarylBennett

I think sound active is decent, try just the tripod at first and you can upgrade and raise it later

@@DJ_CJ_NL if you have a DMX signal going into your par, then you could put a wireless dmx dongle on the OUT of the par, and the tube would receive the signal. Of course the signal would need to include valid commands for the tubes. You cannot master/slave two unique fixtures, they must be the same ones

@@eross21 they have several led pixel profiles already, and they have a very basic RGB 1 cell LED tape profile, so you can have as many of those as you configure with your led tape

80 channel, 12 channel is easier to program but you can’t see the attribute cues in the visualizer

They don't have huge throw like normal washes but they provide a nice diffused light that isn't too harsh. If there's no house lights, these will do really well

Is there a way to make the lights bounce similar to how they do in some of the sound modes when just using autoloops on Soundswitch? I tried changing them to Multicell, but haven't seen a difference, they just do the normal wash effects. Not sure if I'm missing something.

You could do it manually in 40 or 80 channel mode. You can also do it 12 channel mode with attribute cues. My SS auto loop presets also do this effect.

Plenty of people have purchased this project for the well stx and ax1 and have loved it. I have created plenty of resources to help people do this on their own for free. 🤷I've done some midi mapping and the time involved, complexity and artistry are not even in the same category.

Sequential patterns? If you use DMX, you can create any sort of patterns that you like! I don't think it's possible without dmx though

No trick about it, just plug it in and then turn it on. Double check the outlet is working, the charging cable. If it still isn't charging, your light may be defective
