The wording on dig is "prevent all damage and effects" so Dugtrio was immune to the effect, which means it was excluded from the targeting of Draco Meteor. The targeting is an effect of the attack

My only issue with this deck would be consistency. You have 12/20 cards that can brick you. Not to mention needing 3-4 energy for every mon. Most decks are online by turn 2

this deck is actually pretty consistent for a dragonite stall deck. yes articuno takes a while to ramp up but that’s why you run misty for rng. otherwise the basic articunos are just meant to be one pt meat shields until you can get your dragonite online.

not to mention articuno need flip to made that 3 energy 60 dmg worthwhile.. dont get me wrong, articuno is so good to tank, paired with starmie who online faster and using xspeed to swap with starmie.. but yeah, you got the whole point..

I played against this deck with a Weezing, Arbok, Pidgeot deck. The Articuno with potions and Misty stalled long enough to get their Dragonite online. They did get lucky with the paralyze though. Had I not been paralyzed for 3 turns in a row and then again after I was able to attack, I would've won.

@_CatBug_ well you were playing a stall deck haha most decks are online by turn 2-4 and hitting for 90-200dmg

im using a very similar deck like this rn. its my best one yet. just instead of 1 sabrina and 1 xspeed i have eevee and jolteon who can solo swipe games when ur not dragonite is not build up or it can also be a sacrifice for dragonite to finish up.

This looks like a fun and strong deck, a shame i got 2 Articuno EX before even a single regular one 😅 What could i use as a substitute wall/control? I was thinking Pincurchin or Frosmoth, but i'm not sure they can work well enough...

regular mewtwo (high HP, low retreat cost but can't attack) & kangaskhan (high HP, can deal massive damage with 1 energy , but high retreat cost) are pretty solid too as the wall.
