Hey max, a question. Is wizard101 still supported by the developers? Are there dlcs and an active community? I would love to play it but I am scared I could be basically alone, and that maybe I should try World of Warcraft, more populated and supported

@Holiphas Wizard101 is still extremely active! There are an estimated 4.5 million active players of the game. It's most recent major update was in March of this year and the most recent new expansion was released in November 2022. I also personally find that wiz is easier for people new to MMOs to get into thanks to the fact that it's been designed for an "all ages" audience. Highly recommend giving it a try!

I would love to see a remake of the leveling spells, currently it feels like you just get your one aoe at either 28 or 48 and then you use that until your shadow aoe while ignoring all the cool single target spells in between because they're only really usable in pvp I wanna recapture the feeling I had as a kid where I was excited every 10 lvls because I'd get a new spell that I'd actually want to cast

The bad guys in stories often have hoards of level 1 goons which they send out to fight instead of fighting themselves, only when the goons have been slain is when you fight the big bad guy. In wizard101 you are the hoards of goons. When you fight a boss, their minions are right next to them in the battle. where is ambrose? He's sending out you goons.

Fortify doesn't actually increase your resistance, it acts more like another (weaker) shield. If you have 85% resistance and get hit with a max Wild Bolt (1000 damage) with Fortify, the damage would decrease to 128. This is due to how the game calculates damage. 1000 - 85% = 150 150 - 15% = 128

so, for some reason, i keep imagining this game being given a spin-off that changes the combat completely, making it a kinda... strategy beat-em up? I think this is how to describe it best, think Kingdom Hearts 3 combat with Wizard101 Magic mechanics.

Update from last year that allows you to chose school pips (basically mastery amulets but for pretty much free)!
