Glad you are ok! Take it from a career Paramedic. Newer studies have shown that you can have a turnequit on for a considerable period of time before the lack of circulation contributes to a negative outcome. Stopping the bleeding is the priority! Rest up

Back in the 70,s my granddad had a huge hog. Whenever you put slop and feed in the trough the hog would eat and leave a little and go lay down maybe 15feet away and pretend to be asleep. We actually watched it do this. Well chickens that were running loose would slip in and eat whatever was left. This is no lie the chickens would be a little skittish at first but after a while they would start to feel safe and not pay much attention to the hog. As soon as they let their guard down this huge hog would slowly stand and run as fast as it could, you wouldn't think a hog that big could move so fast but it did and would grab the chicken and eat it. They are alot alot smarter and sneakier than most people think. Glad to see your doing well.

So glad you're alive and doing well. There are 2 stages in blood stopping. 1st hard direct pressure. If that doesn't work go straight to a tourniquet. Pressure points and elavation are no longer approved methods for hemorrhag control. Tourniquets save lives everyday, study's show there not nearly as bad as we originally thought. They can be on longer than originally expected Its likely that it is what saved your life. I used to be a EMT/ firefighter. Glad response time was 7 min that's above the national average. I have responded to 1 hr calls in urban areas. First aid is important for everyone to know especially if you live in rural areas.

Glory and honor to the medical professionals and first responders, those who actually have the major impact on saving lives. People like you are those who command the forces of death, you are who look death in the face on a daily basis and say 'not today, you will not have this one' The gods among men who truly are changing the world through their power and ability. Just kidding, you are merely a vessel for the lord, praise the lord and life is spared only by his will, nothing you do can ever actually stop someone from dying if the lord willed it so. Praise god!

Farm safety is a great idea! Glad you're ok and looking forward to more videos. I'd go back and do more research on the tourniquet, though. The last training I got (2016) is that they're not as dangerous to the limb as previously thought, if applied correctly, and that they're no longer a last resort. Plus blood loss is no joke. Once your blood pressure gets past a certain point you can go into cardiac arrest/ have organ damage etc.

I was very relieved to here your the artery, tendons were not torn. God bless your recovery. I believe your situation is a shining example for comprehensive first aid training for the average person anywhere, but especially the homesteading family. For many kinds of injuries, distance from the kind of medical care you needed could mean loss of limb, or the difference between life and death. Thank God for your neighbor also, his presence, the ambulance's rapid response, the skill of the medical staff at the hospital, they were all God sent.

My prayers are with you and your family. I'm just an old woman (almost 74), but I remember an encounter I had with a cow that had not been de-horned. She separated the handle from a water bucket that I had in my hand, but Praise the Lord, she missed me. -- I was just a kid, maybe 10-12 years old--I don't remember exactly. God was sure watching over me and she never drew blood! The only advice I can give you is follow your doctor's instructions to the letter and get totally well before you try to deal with any of your livestock again.

Leonard Greenpaw you are seriously confused and uninformed which is easy to happen when it comes to trying to understand the Bible without some guidance. Though the evil are going to be punished we don’t read hearts as God does so we don’t know who is evil. But God does not bring harm to humans for the most part but instead wants the best for us. Satan however does bring harm to humans in various ways though we in our own imperfection inherited from Adam & Eve after they sinned also just make mistakes JUST BECAUSE WE ARE IMPERFECT! So this man may have made a mistake in judging how safe what he was doing with the boars. It doesn’t mean he was being punished by God or in any way evil and we are told not to judge people so how about you pay attention to that part of your Bible also? He is being helpful to others by sharing what he learned from his mistake. I offer to study the Bible free of charge with those who are interested if you would be interested.

@@xanadu1jw Of course, you are one of THOSE people. You dont like the truth I bring so you try to tell me that I am misinformed, because of course YOU have the right information and you know god's will? Satan punishes only those who god allows him to punish. Look at the story of Job, God allowed satan to punish and test him. God's whole promise is to protect us true believers from the torment of the devil. Do you think the devil is ABLE to do anything that god does not want? do you even understand what being all powerful means, God is without equal, that includes the devil, and god is all knowing, the devil cannot hide. If the devil ever did anything against god's will, god would be there to stop it. You have such little faith that you think the devil is not part of god's plan? You have such little faith to think that god would let anything happen to truly innocent believers? mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.” Do you think the snake is literal? Do you think it a coincidence? The snake they reference is obviously speaking of the same snake from the garden. Even if it was literal, it would surely apply to boars as well. And there are plenty of other passages with the same meaning. It is you who needs to be educated as to the word of god. Stop trying to twist the bible to fit your bias

Hello from TN! When my Sister was little, she was almost drugged in to the hog pen, by a big hog! Our Father saved her. So glad you are going to be ok! I've always said that pigs are dangerous. GOD bless you all!
