You got a good unit, try to keep the hose pulled all the way out when using it, less clogging. Get a metal rake. Biggest problem I see for you is to small a box. Next you may get a dump, and might wish the loader was on its own trailor. I been doing this for 30yrs. I did what you did for 2 ys then got a f700 16 ft dump. Changed my life. Lol Now we move 50-60 yards of debris a day. Truck holds 20yards. We use a scagg 35hp. I like the look of your machine, I'm sure you will be happy.

I know the guy who actually builds these machines. “fradan”. All will bog slightly because of the wet/heavy leaves. Also I see a lot of landscapers will suck up everything with them. They’re not made to suck up rocks and sticks but who has the time to make sure you’re not. The fan is aluminum and very light and will bend or nick up when sucking up rocks and wood. Also .. when the leaves are wet/damp you have to clean the fan blades because the wet leaves will stick to the blower fins causing it to vibrate and run out of balance. You got different makes and models of blowers .. fradan uses a good gauge thickness of its body/frame. And basically that’s all you can go by.. Fradans .. Billy goats .. scags all use the same engines. So you can really say Billy goat sucks because the engine doesn’t run right or engine issues .. that’s on the engine manufacturer.. I like the fradans and they’re built good. You say .. RPM issues and that’s Briggs and Stratton fault .. not Fradans. Make sure if you adjust the RPMs correctly.. I believe it may be 3200-3500 .. don’t go over manufacturer specs. And all you have to do is bend that little tab near the governor ..don’t mess with the governor rod. Good luck.

@@berndtslawncare4906 Fradan makes a good machine .. and to tell you the truth .. I’ve been doing small engine and landscaping equipment for years .. the Briggs motor has gone down hill compared to say 10 years ago.
@eddiane Жыл бұрын
I think that Fradan has a bunch of power but my question for you is would that 18 hp Little Wonder do better than the Fradan with the wet heavy dense stuff you raked up today? I know you have used the 18 so you would know if it has the power. Im just thinking the Fradan with that big hose can do a great job in drier conditions such as when you are on the jobsite and not leaving the piles which unfortunately got soaked. Happy Thanksgiving!

It’s hard to say. I need to get the fraden running right, then I can answer you clearly on that one

Why not have a chain on the handle and attach to the box on your truck n at each job site just unhook the handle from the chain
@berndtslawncare4906 Жыл бұрын
Because then you won’t be able to turn the truck and trailer.

@@berndtslawncare4906 if the hose is attached to the chute n the vacuum is on your truck ? Why can't you turn your truck n trailer you need to look at Spencer's lawn care video with leaves clean up

What deck is on the C? I wonder if a blade was backwards, are they counter rotating on that one? I know when I put my blades on wrong side that's how it acts ... You know its not right but it still mows
@berndtslawncare4906 Жыл бұрын
48” standard rotation collection deck. That mower had issues, either bad clutch, bad pto box, or some sort of belt slippage causing low blade tip speed. It was unfortunate because it was actually a very well thought out machine
@MikeinNJ Жыл бұрын
Lose the hose arm, the hose should bent back over the engine and spiral around the front of machine that’s how scag is. You don’t need the arm. Lay the tube flat in ground and rake the leaves into the tube. Try that

Looked like to me that you were a bit to close to the pile and it was building up at the bend in the hose.
