Goku is Wukong and Wukong is Goku, they're the same character taken by a Chinese novel called "Journey to the west". It's really famous in Asia. You should read it because it has crazily epic storyline! Wukong is a monkey king but they made Goku as an ape. Goku's cloud (idk what it is in English, but it's Kinto Un in Japanese) is actually exists in Wukong's story, so is the Nyoibou cane (the cane Goku brings when he was a kid). And Oolong is based on Cu Pat Kay/Zhu Bajie, Wukong's friend who accompanied him throughout the journey. sekiro imo is safer to play because u can just block, parry or dodge and u can just win a fight by out parrying the boss. parrying is way too hard in soul games and the bosses do crazy amount of dmg.

Sekiro was the easiest for me. Idk how people say its the hardest. I even reccomend people to play sekiro first before going to the Souls series and or even Bloodborne. Sekiro gives so much room for error compare to the other soul games. Bloodborne gives you no room for errors. You fuck up... that's it. There is no shield or block to hide behind. You dodge and counter. That's it

There is a really good video by AvenueX who explains all the details about the trailer and how they relate back to the story of Sun Wukong and even the old 80s TV show. Like 99% of the stuff you see is a reference to something in the source material and it's pretty wild. Also yes, Wukong has A LOT of enemies.

It is an approximately 18 metric ton pillar that he took from the dragon king's palace after rejecting all the ridiculously powerful artifacts that were offered by said dragon king. Wukong is the foundation of db mostly the inspiration can be seen in the first series of dragonball where goku has crash landed on earth and trained in the mountains with an old man and on his quest for dragon balls throughout the land while in wukong mythology the monkey king is on the search for Buddha sutras and as his punishment for rebelling against heaven he is imprisoned under a mountain where he’s accompanied by a monk. To your question about how much they use or connect them. Goku was represented to be Wukong in the early manga as hints to "Journey to the west" message and of him growing up. Also I did a lot of research/spoke with my friends on some thoughts I had about DBSuper and how Goku is getting stronger to become a benevolent God like Wukong did as well... Also in Japan which I read that Wukong is known as Son Goku or they call him that... As well Wukong was a symbol/God for Farmers who he helped protect against the government officials and higher ups? If I remember correctly... And Goku is a farmer... Who protects everyone So my theory that I talked to my friends about Goku and Wukong/Goku being Wukong which isn't far from the truth... Both like fighting both like being goofs and both are idiots or act that way... Which I can talk to you about my theory more if you'd be interested to discuss it of course Afro!

As far as I'm aware, in the original story of Wukong, Wukong was originally just an intelligent monkey until he ate the fruit of immortality, annoyed a dragon so much he just gave him one of the pillars to his castle to use as a weapon and learned 72 earthly transformations. In the original telling, Wukong was causing so much trouble that it was decided by the gods that he could enter their ranks in order for them to keep a close eye on him but, Wukong being a trickster and wanting the power of immortality (which he get's like five times in his entire story) he was kicked out of his heavenly position. I would assume this game either takes place then or takes place before his heavenly assentation, point being, the game is probably about Wukong gaining immortality or gaining the rank of god, either way the current gods don't want that happening and thus send upon Wukong the many foes he has to face. That's what I assume anyways.

You know how they call him Son Wukong? That's his name in Chinese. His name in Japanese is Son Goku. Legit, dragonball is totally just a reimagining of the Monkey King - without the Journey to the West. Instead of finding scriptures and taking them to the temple they need to go to - it's finding dragonballs and getting a wish or wishes. Dragonball is really just "what if Son Goku was born in a modern day with aliens and space travel and stuff? Only - without the Buddha stuff."

I'mma say it again, cause I said it elsewhere, but the music midway through the trailer is similar to Nier:automata's ost. It increases my hype because I just finished a good portion of the game and understand even more of the story than I did previously. It's freaking good. Anyways the combat does seem a bit less than the previous trailer. I'm wondering if that has to do with progression of the game to get the crazy stuff we saw in the last trailer. It's still pretty dope seeing him using the "power pole". I personally feel the combat is pushing the envelope on what we're used to, but I'm wondering just the same how crazy it'll be when it's finally done. I hope they'll be able to create it without any limitations to the dream they got for it.

Regarding Dragon Ball: obvious stuff first; Saiyan's can turn into Ape's (Wukong is an Ape), nimbus and the staff are signature abilities of Monkey King Sun Wukong in mythology, as is his ability to transform. Dragon Ball minus the energy blasts, abilities to fly by themselves and the plot is really based on the mythology of the Monkey King Sun Wukong, Son Goku is his Japanese name. This mythology is apart of Buddhism and Daoism. With things being mixed between the Chinese, Japanese, and any other cultures.
