Most will likely judge this harshly because the graphics aren’t AAA,but I’ll tell you as someone who started playing this the immersion is enough to overcome that. There is also a level of difficulty to this game that some may not enjoy that are just looking for the more simplistic arcade style shooters, but in a game like this that feeling of accomplishment when you are successful is much better I believe.

I also wanna say the graphics you see are VERY dependent on the users set up and headset… my graphics for this game are AAA but I am not using a stand alone wireless headset. I’m using the psvr2 with 2k OLED panels on a good pc. This game on max settings is absolutely beautiful

@ I’m On a top of the line setup as well, but what we have isn’t what’s within reach for the average player base is my point. Once we have stand alone headsets that are achieving what we are experiencing with what our setups have at a price point that’s more feasible, then we could see a bigger comeback for VR I think.

It’s not fair to the devs and it’s just not a correct complaint when other players with decent set ups… (basically anything other than a quest) are playing this game with really good modern day quality graphics.

Most people dont understand that VR is basically running the game twice at the same time, once for each eye to create a genuine 3D virtual environment. It's not the same as running a normal flatscreen game and takes a lot more resources. Too many people think VR is just a screen strapped to your head, but it's 2, one for each eye with a different perspective on each screen. Contractors Exfil Zone is AAA VR. Graphics are damn near meaningless when your immersion is through the roof.

2k hrs i played Tarkov and I've played all the other shooters on PC over the last 10 years. I got into this game at xmas time and i cant go back to playing on flat screen, it is more fun and more stressful in every way!! I wish i got into VR sooner tbh Tabor is not a game for new VR players and with Exfil having the BR mode and Massive training area with the click of a button id recommend this game over Tabor all day every day

Really cool to see some of my favorite creators jumping over into the VR space for Contractors. This game has had me hooked since before christmas. We're in the same situation too, i come from DMZ and just got my headset so its this new, tactile learning experience to try and "get good" all over again. Its awesome.

I've got just under 1000 hours in Tabor, and I'll vouch that this game is leaps and bounds ahead in development. Hope to see you in action again, maybe this time you should get one of the bigger VR guys to join you. Someone like Tanvarian or TimelessVR with good map knowledge and high skill level. You and Tan would be hilarious, would be funnier than the old Battlefield days

FINALLY another Exfilzone video! THE UPDATE they released today IS MASSIVE!!!! This game will have you shaking from adrenaline during gunfights or after a raid bro. Nothing beats this immersion honestly. Btw Ghost of Tabor has nothing on this game, if you play that after playing this you won’t have fun, a lot of the QOL is lacking and they have bugs over there they have not patched since released. A lot of the community migrated to this game and are upset with the devs over at Tabor for taking our money and then pretty much slacking and only selling more DLC instead of fixing or finishing the *EARLY ACCESS* game.

Chill guys. lmao Meta Quest 3S was the top selling game system on Amazon US in 2024, despite only releasing in October. VR Chat hit 136k concurrent players at one point last year. I know you guys like to shit on VR, but believe it or not, its still increasing in interest year over year. With that said, any of you that haven't experienced high level VR are missing out. Most of you in here enjoy realistic, tactical gameplay since you follow this channel and you're just not going to get that same level of realism on a flat screen. Sorry. Jump in!

The motion sickness feeling is something you might feel the first couple times, but you can work through it after a few shorter session and your eyes and brain figure it out. As for more realism aspect, there's a plethora or gunstock accessories available that give you a range of comfort and stability options for VR shooters. I bought a 3d printed one for Contractors Showdown and it's been a huge help in this and other shooters. Next time you play this, grab a friend or two and squad up. Having a team in Exfil zone is a big advantage. Maybe team up with some more experienced VR streamers, like Tanvarian, Timeless VR, or KK Plays.

I think this game is awesome, some issues have arise though; 1. Bugs are a bit of a annoyance, but they're not super bad 2. There maybe cheaters in this game, but we'll have to see on what they'll do about that because every game will have their cheaters 3. I would say this is a Tarkov-esk game. They do take some gameplay elements, but put a lot of QOL features into the game that makes it feel better. And for the motion sickness, there are settings to help out with it. There's one where you can turn on a tunnel vision effect while running to make it feel easier on the eyes. But by far, if you play Tabor, do make a comparison video later down the line. Would love to hear your take.

@@EGoat I feel like these are more generalized concerns for any game, rather than specifics. The one major bug I can think about is crashing the moment you enter a raid, you'll lose that kit you had on you. Happens randomly, uncommonly. Also. Items can sometimes seem to fall through the earth, but other players find them just fine. Hoping they fix the crashing though, sucks to lose a kit/kits over nothing, not even by one's own skill issue.

VR is destined and has immense potential to be the future of gaming in like 20 or 30 years, but right now, it's barely even in it's infancy. Accessibility is my only concern for holding it back in the future. Within time, VR headsets will start obtaining better hardware, graphic fidelity will continue to rise, Game mechanics become more Innovative, Bigger companies you haven't already will hop on board and make more games. That's the DESTINY of VR gaming, but only the community to sway it's FATE.

You're right! But I disagree that VR needs "bigger companies". We have TONS of high budget AAA VR games at this point and they are mostly trash with a few exceptions. Money doesnt make good VR games if the creators dont know what they are doing. This game, Exfil Zone, made by Caveman Studios is AAA VR. The "AAA VR" studios are the OG pioneers that know how to make VR games. These are the passionate people who have risked it all and spent years refining this genre out of their garage. Not the million dollar corporations that are only there to make money. As VR grows, so will these pioneering studios. The AAA flatscreen developers are incompatible with VR due to an absence of experience. Now what i will say is that if these mega corporations OUTSOURCE their IP's to more experienced indie studios, and simply FUND them - then we will see great things. Like Metro Awakening for example. They outsourced development to Vertigo Games - a veteran VR developers. And it's great!

It already developed some anger issues for me and I lost almost all my gear :( Everytime I died I wanted to smash my Quest3 and just to calm down I was jumping to No mans sky - played this game on flat screen before and oh boy this game is even better in vr. Im waiting for final version of Contractors because atm there is too many bugs and crashes.

If you like this game you should check out Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand grenades. By far the most realistic gun gameplay you can get in a game. I like contractors but the way you handle weapons feels too stiff to me. I want to be able to slide my second hand along the grip of the gun. H3 has ruined every single vr shooter for me i think
