The only thing that is really hard at first is the steering. It's hard to stay in the road. I've had previous experience with mud runner but the steering always a hassle until you get used to it. Every truck is different too. Some don't turn as fast or as sharp.

1:55 Fun fact, using the handbreak in a bog is actually a thing. It mechanically tricks the rear diff into putting power through to the wheel with grip, which otherwise just puts all the power to the free spinning wheel. Kevin's a natural 4wder.

I bought mudrunner and quit after about 20 hours because of this 0:55. I’ve been driving trucks in mud in Texas for 30 yrs. Not once have I ever been thrown off a barely muddy road and crash into a pole or tree due to a mostly dry dirt clod under one front tire. Is this how the devs make it difficult? To make even a dry road act like black ice? Cmon. Then, in every mud hole, I move at the same snail pace. If there’s sticks, I don’t get any traction. Some logs? Can’t get any traction. Some grassy high ground, nope. You’re gonna slog no matter what and you’re going to be thrown off the road at any moment as if your steering mechanisms just broke. Fun, unless you know how mudrunning really works.

17:30 So I joined the Army about 5 years ago. One of my first recovery missions as a Bradley Mechanic was some squad that decided to park their Bradley in the middle of a swamp. It took about 3 days and 4 M88A2's to recover them. We had to trudge through waist-deep mud and cut down trees to shove under every vehicle, make a chain of vehicles using their winches (the 88s, Brads don't have one), and launch a massive coordinated effort to get everybody out at the same time.
