I remember my first time moving from the country to Dallas and I got to experience Microcenter. I was looking for a Hyper 212+ for my 2500K, but I didn't see any on shelves. But then I noticed that the store had just stacked all their Hyper 212+ in a pile in the middle of the floor as it's own pallet. Yeah, it is quite ironic just considering the history of Epic's thoughts and practices regarding PCs and gaming consoles, and with Epic focusing on game exclusivity for a hardware platform that is normally open and not being sold by a game console company. 😂😂😂 The Epic store lacks competitive features in its current state to welcome consumers to shop there. Sad... But a game called PC Building Simulator 2 gets exclusivity on a PC store platform against PCs? LOL As for free games or free gifted licenses, I can get those in other places! Humble Bundle is one of the sites that gave me plenty of those! Steam and GOG are two other places I got free games! I would rather spend money on games for the companies and get them through them a different platform than to support another platform that merely wastes time to make games exclusive, regardless if game companies get a quick payout and don't seek company deals elsewhere. That's okay though because some of the exclusives (and formerly exclusive) on Epic's store are mediocre, considering I played them on other platforms and saw what reviewers thought on Steam, Amazon, and Metacritic. W:TA-E (Werewolf for short) is one of those games. Many of these games are NOT only exclusive to PC (on consoles too) and yet they are exclusive to a PC store while on game consoles simultaneously. lmao Epic's logic is not helping their business! I was hoping they would give consumers something better than other platforms out there.😂

Some things that need to be fixed or added for PCBS 2, as someone who played PCBS 1 a lot: - more white AIOs and Radeon RX GPUs - individual cable and AIO-hose routing (similar to the custom water-cooling routing already available) - ability to put the radiator on different fans, not just the ones it comes with - ability to take apart SSDs with pre-applied heatsinks to fit them under motherboard heatsinks or remove motherboard heatsinks completely - some cases need you to put the ventilation cover back on, even if the fans underneath wouldn't get any air - decide on the fan orientations, maybe get different temperature readings dependent on the balance of how many fans suck or blow - old hardware or cases to make sleepers or ricers from If some of these things get added I would consider buying the sequel. If not, it's too similar to the first one IMO.
@scott-nd1js2 жыл бұрын
Finally, someone else said it. I hate the routing for the aio hoses and the cables. It didn't completely kill the game for me but it was just an eyesore for a lot of builds. You'd think they'd fix that with the second version, but from the looks of it they didn't. At least in the beta version. Hopefully the full release will have polished these. I get tired of seeing cables being routed elsewhere when there's a perfectly good hole right NEXT to or UNDER it.

What really bothers me is that, looking too much like the first. While some dev (on reddit) said the sequel would be more of a SIMULATOR, I don't see MANY improvements from the first one. MANY, there are improvements, of course. I don't buy much of how they can fix from Beta to final, I think it's going to be this a bit more optimized. 8:45 I think the opposite is true, i think some brands are paying them to put their products in the game.. which is all and good as long as they aren't blocking other brands from exiting in the game. PC Build Simulator ought to do a prequal version where you get to build PCs from 20 years ago, with 20 year old parts and accessories benchmarking them on Crysis, with 3DFX cards running Windows 98! You could run an old PC to it's exact specification with VM software, that play inside the game since most of us are on modern hardware that could easily emulate a 20yo PC, with performance left over to run the game it self.

I played the open beta of this and did the survey. I do like a lot of the quality enhancements. But the cosmetic jobs make 0 sense to me, it makes no freaking sense why a job would have a customer send in a PC to just paint the case or put stickers on it. Now if they made case modding an optional objective of jobs, that would be fine, but please please don't make case mod only jobs, that's so stupid and unrealistic. People don't take their car to a mechanic asking for stickers to be put on their car, people don't take their skateboard to a skate shop asking them to place stickers for them, it's absolutely absurd. When it comes to "decorating" a PC, that's personal, the person who owns the PC should be the one decorating it. The only time it makes sense for the PC builder to decorate a PC is when they are doing it while also building a PC. It's one thing to add customer modding to a build your making, but i just can't wrap my head around why someone would send in a working existing PC to someone and not be doing anything to upgrade the PC, only to ask for lights, or stickers, or painting the PC... Only way i can see someone painting a case of an existing PC is if they where also planning on dismantling the PC and doing a big upgrade, then maybe they would also paint it to make it like a fresh new build so making it an optional thing when doing upgrade jobs makes more sense.

My only complaint with this game is that you are bound to components that „fit“. Im used to building systems that technically shouldn’t fit, like my Meshify c, that technically can’t fit a full size GPU and a front mounted aio, but it does work when you expand the front panel a few mm outward and squeeze the rad in front of the fan mount. Things like that don’t work here (or with the pc part picker compatibility checker for that matter)

@@inny74 Epic has been the cancer of PC gaming, I don't give a shit if they own the rights. EA and Microsoft made the wise move of selling their games on a proper service. GOG at least offers DRM free classics What does Epic do? Pays devs to force people to use their barely functional service and make people wait a year for a game to arrive on a proper application. Even EA and Ubisoft have proper services that are miles better than what ever Epic offers.

@@Alec_Reaper well they offer some pretty good free games every week.

Got my hands on the game, and i dont know a thing about building computers. I really enjoy the game, very relaxing, pretty good at teaching you how to build one.

They should've finished the first part before releasing a second one. The first part still feels like it's in early access in version 0.8.1 or smth. These people should be ashamed for the quick and dirty money grab. Sry but u got a dislike for promoting that sh*t

Oh also... The overall concept of the game is trash, not fun, and you'll get tired of it in minutes. I'm a hardcore Hardware enthusiast and let me tell you: Trying to actually OC your system or taking it apart and putting it back together Is 100000x more fun. The game is just boring

I was pretty excited for that until you mentioned it's on Epic bullshit store. Yeah, not gonna waste a second of my life on that pathetic garbage. Release it on steam or elsewhere or buzz off.

That is the thing about PC building simulator. For a simulator, they have quite a lot of mistakes like shown at 10:20, where he needed to take off the fans first before removing another component. Also with the Lian Li O11 Dynamic, when placing 3 fans at the bottom, you cannot connect the USB 3.0 connector for the front of the case, as there is no space for the cable to bend - so irl you need to buy a 90-degree adapter. These things really bother me when you want to practice pc building, as they cannot even simulate the shortcomings of a product.

Seeing as probably most of the people who watch this channel already own a gaming PC, it may not be as obvious to most, as it is for me. But, it is kinda ironical that you need a gaming PC to be able to play a game in which you can build a gaming PC. Just sayin'... But I still hit the like button cuz it does look good.

So they basicaly changed graphics, adden new features, but didn't really fixed/changed the bad things from the 1st game...

Gonna wait and see if it comes out on Steam. The first one was decent, but I didn't get super far because of the jobs where you have to build a PC, then go back and change that same PC a few times...
