The shining star for me, and probably for most people would be the Bass in this.

100% the bass. People miss it because it's not loud enough in the mix.
@ben1ben3 жыл бұрын
@@jasonknotts5001 yeah, and also when the bass does solo's it sounds like a guitar to people who don't know the difference, so they miss that too by thinking it was just a guitar again.

@@ben1ben yeah even I missed that the first several listens. And the first change after the main riff the lead part is bass as well.

Orion goes from a metal song to a blues song back to a metal song. the bluesy breakdown and the bass solo were the best parts 💯🔥

Great reaction, man! Metallica is SO smooth with their change-ups and transitions that you probably never noticed them before. It's one of the "things" that they're known for (among hundreds of others!). With "Orion", the switch-ups are right there...in your face (or maybe ears), but if you go back and listen to their older stuff (from "Justice" on back) the changes are so perfect that you don't realize they snuck one past you!....until they sneak yet ANOTHER one by. There are "O.G." reactors that STILL marvel at how Metallica pulls that off.

I got to see Metallica is '86 - they opened for Ozzy. I was hooked from then on. I am not sure what songs you have done previously but I would like to suggest “Enter Sandman,” “Master of Puppets,” “Battery,”(my favorite) or “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” -- Thanks !

I also saw them in Summer of 86. Only a few months before Cliff died. I was 14 but had been a Metallica fan since I was 12. They will always be IMO The Greatest Thrash Metal Band of All Time !!! Peace!!!!

It's funny how a lot of hip hop fans comment on Lars' drumming saying how he's often the highlight of a song, whereas many metalheads and even diehard metallica fans give Lars a ton of shit haha. Goes to show that sometimes fans can kinda get jaded over time.
