I'm currently using a Pixel 5 and I love it!! But it's time to upgrade now, and I've been thinking of getting a Pixel 8, since my budget is kind of tight and I love smaller size phones, but man most recently I've been having second thoughts since I saw a pixel fold "Good condition" on eBay for $485 now Idk which one to get 🤔 any advice?

My first fold finally broke after having it for way over a year (my inner screen broke) but that phone was so glitchy ( whenever i would use the dual screen preview) my phone would reset, the proximity sensor didnt work, couldn't use it as a phone and had to use it with earbuds or speaker, among other issues i think it was maybe one-off with this phone. But when i got my replacement phone all those features work and the phone finally works as if should, this has made me like this phone even more and hold out for the 10.

My dual preview wasn't working too since launch yet my bro which had the same phone but directly from Google was working. I figured it would get fixed with a camera or system update and it finally was with the Android 15 a few months ago. I didn't have any other glitches tho. I still have mine mainly cause of the form factor vs the new one. I also like the OEM case on it as well. So super grippy. Some features like "made you look" got rolled down which is super nice. I was considering trading my fold in for the pixel 9 pro XL just for all the new features but I knew that I would miss my fold too much. I will wait for the pixel 10 instead as I feel like that's the true upgrade imo.

@@bonezj117 yeah I was thinking of contacting Google as well but I'm sure all they probably wanted me to do was reset it which I didn't want to do when everything else was working just fine. I didn't buy it from either and didn't want the run around from what I heard.

One of the few things Microsoft got right with the Surface Duo was the aspect ratio when opened. OG Pixel Fold was close enough, fwiw. I really don't want a square phone, I need a panoramic-ish tablet when opened. Sadly, all foldables are now squares, so I'll be going back to having a slab phone and a separate tablet.

I went Galaxy fold 1 through 5 and moved to pixel fold. Im glad i got pixel fold. Better screen, better camera, better battery life. Sux that they got rid of that form factor Hate Galaxy folds front screen, charging speed, battery life, and form factor. You have to rotate Galaxy fold after unfolding to get the wide screen. Try that 30-50 per day...

Perfect timing for this video, i tried a zfold6 and i just couldn't get used to the skinny front screen, so i did just what you said, about a month ago,I bought a renewed pixel fold from Amazon for 535.00. It took me several tries setting it up,, smart switch didnt play nice, so after doing a clean install this phone has been perfect. I went back to my s23 for a day, but after using this pixel fold, i actually was missing it, so for the last few weeks ive been loving this phone. Other than occasional 5g drops ( airplane mode toggle easily fixes it) this phone has been flawless, and i dont miss samsungs OS at all, in fact I actually like pixels OS better!

They really should have kept the form factor of the pixel fold and just thinned out the bezels and fixed the hinge and it would have been perfect. Had mine since launch and it's still going fine. Got the pixel 9 pro fold also and it just seems like a wider z fold to me with how I use it. But it's still good 👍🏾

Great video as always! The form factor of that original fold looks so good. I always wanted a zfold but the external narrow display always put me off. This pixel looks like the perfect form factor with the added bonus of a larger screen when you want it! Cheers for sharing ☺️

No thanks. Rather pay more. But then I went the fold 6. Can do more and it just works. The 9 fold is deceiving yes hinge looks thin but it's covered by a bezel so screen looks off centre.

I'm still rocking my pixel fold 1. Love it. It's not perfect but it's good to me. I do not like the new pixel fold because of that really ugly bezel on the hinge side. They should have made them square like the z fold 6 did. So I'm gonna keep my OG and use it until it gives up the ghost. Oh yeah, Adam, I love it when you say "bucks". @drestrick3899 hi, battery life best ever had, camera best ever had, the operating system is flawless easier to do everything it just works, helpful tips. I've had Pixel 4xl 6 Pro 7 Pro 8 Pro 9 Pro XL, all great phones, S24 Ultra & iPhones and returned S24 Ultra and iPhone while in return period as so disappointed. I bought the OPPO Find X8 Pro also but returned for this VIVO X200 Pro, no regrets, can't ever see me going back to previous makes now, I have the Global edition, just awesome.

When I made the videos saying it wasn’t worth it, that was over a year ago and it was $1800 and didn’t have 5 full years of support. Now, it’s $500 and has 5 years of support, not 3. And even when I made the videos previously I said it was worth it at $799, when I got it $1000 off. So, my messaging has been very consistent. Now I’m saying at a 72% discount and two extra years of support, it’s worth taking a look at. And I never did it was a bad phone. I said it’s not worth $1800. I don’t even think the new one is worth $1800. So, you can call it how you see if but if you’re not actually listening to what I say, then your opinion isn’t accurate P.S. the nonsense comment wasn’t for you.
