I never put it together before, but Frieren's realization that she likes watching her friends be happy relates directly to her offer to take Himmel and the others to see the 2nd Era meteor shower, even if she didn't realize it at the time.

some interesting tidbits from the show you may not have noticed: Eisen is likely well over 100 years old at this point, since it's been at least 80 years or so since their adventure ended, and add another 10 to that for the time during the adventure means 90. And I doubt he started the adventure before 20-30 at earliest. But dwarves do live longer than humans, so we don't know for certain. When they met up with Eisen 30 years later, they made the grapes sour for him using the spell they learned in ep 2, since sour grapes are his fav food. Frieren is wearing the earrings that Flamme had on, which you can see in the flashbacks of her.

Yeah. Although it's never confirmed what Eisen's age is, later on it is mentioned Dwarfs average life span is 400. Eisen said he's too old to be Frieren's tank. So I'd guess he's in his 300s now.

Actually, I was also surprised when I found out Himmel's VA was also Bakugo's. I've always wondered for the longest time if Bakugo's VA would voice someone that doesn't scream every 5 seconds (because that's the only kind of character the VA had voiced before), and this show shows exactly what I hoped for and it didn't disappoint a single bit. Himmel's soft and soothing voice here is so fitting and way beyond my expectation, that I even feel like had Himmel been voiced by someone else, it wouldn't be this good. Petition for Bakugo's VA to fill in more relaxed/chill character in the future! Himmel is HIM (You can't spell Himmel without HIM).

You also missed when frieren said “older sister” it showed her looking at ferns chest . Then it showed two piles of rocks . One was stacked high, the other one was pretty flat . Frieren is insecure about her chest size . Which I think is pretty funny for an elf as old as she is .

Dwarfs live for 300 years, but we don't know how old Eisen is. We don't know how long elves live. But we learn in episode 4 (confirmed in a later episode) that Frieren is over a 1000 years. How long exactly, we also don't know.

OUR BOI STARKK!!! He's here!!!!! Stark is one of my favorite characters in the entire show, and possibly my favorite main cast member. And he very much underestimates himself. He's alot powerful than he'll have you believe, which is actually a perfect dynamic for the main cast. You'll see why later on.

Love these reactions and already looking forward to the next ones! Now, you asked about the pronunciation of the place where Frieren meets Eisen. It's called Bredt region, which isn't an actual german word for once, so there is no wrong or right way to pronounce it, if I had to guess though, it's probably based of "breit" ( means "wide", sounds similar to "bright"), as that would fit with the other regions' names. For all the other cases I think you were spot on again (especially with "Einsam"). Now for those that want to go for the super authentic german pronunciation: Stark (which means "strong") is pronounced a little different in German. I think it's a little unfair to native english speakers, because the sound "st" is pronounced more like "sht" in German when it's at the begining of a word. So Stark would sound more like Shtark and Strahl more like Shtrahl. Anyways, that's enough nerding around.

The question of whether Frieren is doing it for Himmel (and the others) or for herself is an interesting one, isn't it? We saw how she enjoyed the sunset because she saw Fern enjoying it. So was that for Fern, or for herself? Was the meteor shower for her or her friends? If making your friends happy makes you happy, are you being selfish for making your friends happy? Does the answer change if those friends are deceased? Does it change again if heaven is real? I don't have a simple answer, but I love that these are the kinds of questions this story raises.

At the end of episode 3, I'm not entirely sure why that hat was sitting on the stone. It would be strange if the man died right after telling Frieren that he would now live a lot longer thanks to her. So because of that, I'm pretty sure it was not his. My best guess is that it could've just belonged to another farmer. He did say that others there wore them.

I recommend adding World Trigger to your anime watch list if you have not seen it yet. It's one of the most underrated anime out there, but it's definitely worth the watch. Season one is long tho and the pacing is a little slow to start, but it's amazing when it gets going.

Stark is kind of like Zenitsu but as a more true to life character. Instead of annoying everyone by trippling down on a tired trope, Stark feels reasonably afraid and expresses it without dragging out the plot.

Just an extremely minor quiibble. History (or historic) doesn't exactly mean "the past." What it means is "written accounts of the past." That means that prehistory is a time before written accounts. So prehistory in our world ended some 4000-6000 years ago, and after that is historic times. And since there was writing in Flamme's time, then Frieren is right, she isn't quite that old. Frieren is a little over a thousand years old, so by our timeline, it wouldn't be BC. It would be somewhere around fifty years before the time that William the Conqueror invaded and became King of England (1066). So the difference between the "present day" in Frieren's world and the time she knew Flamme would be the same amount of time as between our present day and the so-called "dark ages." Although if you were to really make it comparable, Frieren's "present day" would be the middle ages, and Flamme's time is ancient Rome. By the way, if you haven't watched Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Sempai, watch it. The VA for Frieren plays one of the female characters, and unlike Anya, her voice is exactly the same as Frieren's for it. It's also a great story that isn't really what it looks like in the posters and such.
