I love they added XLR support for the LCR and 2 subs. So you get balanced connections for your most important speakers.

@@techsamurai11 Not necessarily, but it is virtually immune to possible electronic interference or ground hum issues, especially if it’s a long distance from AVR to speakers (like if you have your AVR in a media closet tucked away). Audio signals degrade through RCA cables after 20 feet in length, whereas XLR can keep a clean signal up to 200 feet. But another thing to take into account is that voltages through XLR cables are slightly higher than RCA, so you do get a little more power. 🤷‍♂️👍

Absolutely review this buddy - I love balanced outputs, but never saw them on an AVR - I was thinking of going with the new Emotiva AVR, but it lacks one thing for me - no Wi-Fi capability - a shame.

The fact they're using quality dacs has me interested, but I wish it had analog 7.1 inputs for even more future proofing/dac variation. I'm able to still use my old sony de595 I picked up in 2003 to play back dolby truehd audio with my panasonic ub9000's dacs (same ones used in this unit) thanks to those inputs.

PLEASE get this unit a review. Not too many 11-channel AVR’s with this level of features. I think Denon missed an opportunity when the chose not to update the 6700. I like the Denon AVR-4800 but would need to get a separate amp to reach 7.2.4. Space for equipment is at a premium for me so this would make the upgrade a lot easier. On board DIRAC live, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support are a win for me too. You mentioned Alexa wasn’t supported but page 98 of the online manual says this is Alexa compatible. Interesting the Integra doesn’t mention this feature on the web page.

Ealon, I want to hook up 2 Kef KC 92s to this receiver. The KC 92 does not have XLRs on them, which sucks. However, I was wondering if the KC 92s will still work as 2 independent subs and integrate in Dirac Bass Management? Your input would be welcomed. Thanks!

That should work, as far as I know when reading all the specs and features! Since it has two independent sub output modules (which themselves have A & B outputs, supporting up to 4 subs) you can for sure dial in your subs as detailed as you want. And it definitely is Dirac Live Bass Control “ready,” if you’re wanting to purchase that additional license.

Really interested in this model. seems like new receivers are always missing something i want. but the Integra has- -great build with left/right channel construction -49lbs! -11.4 -xlr in and out! and assignable -bi-amp lcr is nice -legacy component! Thank you! -ESS Sabre DACs! -Dirac live included id pick this over any other model out right now if the price is right.

The XLR outputs are optional. The front Left, Center, Right channels also have corresponding RCA pre outs, or corresponding speaker terminals if you’d rather use the AVR’s internal amps. 👍

No silly questions in my book! 😎 Those are the subwoofer pre outs. It can support up to 4 subwoofers, but are split into 2 independent signals. So you have SW1 A&B (B will just be a copy of A), and SW2 A&B. 👍

@@ealanosborne I mean on the height 2 output channels. Underneath the height 2 label on the chassis there is sw1 and sw2 in parentheses. These would be powered not just an RCA audio signal for a subwoofer.

I think they would sell more if they paid as much attention to the front as to the rear. But I agree 100%, the bi-amp center is interesting as are the balanced XLRs and of course DIRAC. This is a bit of problem cause the Sony 5000ES has some ultra cool features as well and is probably as powerful. The Emotiva MR1 is another beast but its room correction is a bit questionable. I wish someone would review Emo-Q and actually compare it to Audyssey.

( i think) ..**same with a pre amp mode for pre out channels**.. Etc..etc. Ive yet to see a unit that has all the options. Even at highest ends.. something still isnt perfect.

Integra is no longer the custom installation product it used to be. I sold Integra to great success but now you find it anywhere at discount pricing. They left many dealers hanging several years. I do not recomend the investment. Any way, they always have been good.
