No mods today! A huge new secret was found yesterday on reddit (and relayed to me by Jevmen, thanks again!) and it is ASTONISHING how it was hidden for an entire year!

This is how you make a video on the topic of a rainworld secret (cough cough unlike Sorbet Cafe's inv campaign videos). - The title and thumbnail don't reveal what the secret is or what to do, so nobody will unwillingly get spoiled by looking at their recommendations. - You can stop watching the video 35 seconds in and still be left with the challenge of figuring out where those spots are. - If you can't or don't want to figure out where the spot is, you can continue watching. - And finally what happens is only revealed right at the very end, so there is almost no chance of people accidentally spoiling it for themselves.

I worry a lot about the community so I try not to overly spoil things while still keeping it interesting, when Jevmen told me about this secret, I made sure to check with them during the entire process (I even asked them what they thought would make for a good thumbnail and if it was or wasn't a good idea to include the result of the secret) and that is why this video turned out how it did. :) I made sure to thread as carefuly as I could, my only regret is not having the artificer perk unlocked to show how you can do it directly...

I had just found out that you don't need to have the Arti jump to get the Spearmaster one. You can also use the High Agility perk instead, and use a downthrown spear with turn storage to backflip up and implant a spear into the wall, and wall spear until you reach the ledge.

The spearmadter one is pretty simple in vanilla mode with a quick spearcopter maneuver from the squidcada in precipice (you have to grab one anyway for the Waterfront safari unlock)

I would've thought maybe you could also use an up-throw spear near the edge of the ceiling, then jump from that thrown spear, stick one in the wall, stick a few more in the wall, then you're up. Rivulet's... looks impossible without arti jump. But Spearmaster's seems very doable.

When I learned about this quest I already had a spearmaster expedition, but I didn't have arti jump turned on, so I used a squidqada. It is possible, but an absolute pain in the ass because they fly you upwards in 0-g, and you have no control over it. So first you need to find it (the precipice is the way in my opinion) and then get it through the moon, waiting basically being able to move only when anti-gravity is off. But the hardest part is neural terminus. Gravity is always off in most of this subregion rooms. even when cycle is over. So you will need to stun it with the rocks and pray to Andrew that they will go where you want them during half a second stun. And also go through memory conflux, you will have problemes in the tunnel, but then you just go up. If you go through the main chamber you will probably just get stuck. And the best advise - just get arti jump, if you use squid way you will hate reflections of the moon after listening to it for an hour. It is not worth it. Sorry for long comment, I just needed to vent, and learn others by example of my stupidity

You see, there's this mechanic in the game that let's you throw and pin spears below and above so that robably helps in spearmaster's case, with rivulet though the only solution i can think of are either grabworms or maybe the gravity core cell thing.

The one year anniversary for downpour was two days ago, if I had to guess then it's probably not a coincidence that this secret was revealed so close to the one year anniversary. Unrelated, but could anyone recommend lizards in spearmaster for the dragonslayer achievement? I already killed blue, cyan, pink, and green lizards (I'm in Industrial Complex, trying to cross to Chimney Canopy)

well, dragonslayer is easy in the hard campaigns because there are a lot of cyans everywhere but you still only need to kill 6, just kill one of each except the red one which its way too tanky and you can still ignore 2 colors

Technically the Steam guide, which is the first documentation I published about it before editing the Wiki and making the Reddit post, was made public slightly less than a year since the DLC's release :з Added the link to the video in the guide, since I think it's the first video documentation other than another Reddit post which just showed activating each EggSpot with developer tools enabled. For the video's contents, it's not made entirely clear that it's necessary to be in expedition mode, but seems to be correct. It even avoids the error I initially made early on about needing to stand for 3.3 seconds, 5 seconds is correct. For Spearmaster and Rivulet, it was actually discovered how to do them perkless! Spearmaster is possible even without a squidcada with slightly more advanced movement, mainly throwing spears up and down with backflips. Rivulet requires bringing in a grappling worm from the outside, which can be done by glitching out of bounds in the upper gate to Submerged Superstructure to get into the bitter aerie without drowning the worm. I think Axolet on the Rain World discord server was the first who initially planned this out for Rivulet and executed it.

Thank you for writting up that guide, it is and will be ultra helpful to everyone trying to accomplish this secret! :) I did include expedition in the thumbnail, and in the footage (while showing the pips that signify which slugcats are complete), but I should probably have specified further at the start of the video that is is a part of expedition :X I appreciate you adding the video though, I hope it helps provide guidance to people attempting this herculean task haha!
