When she shot arrows at the machines in the snow at everything was perfect it looked more exciting than the original. The music was amazing and the arrows hitting machines, totally got me pumped up

I do a lot of virtual photography and take photos inside the games and post them online, as well as do some cinematic montage style videos on my channel, and i’ve seen nearly every inch of this game for taking shots, and this has my excited with how stunning it looks! Forbidden West looks incredible and is really fun for taking photos in, but i did prefer zero dawn overall, so i can’t wait to be taking shots in that game with forbidden west’s quality! Can’t wait for the pro next week! Nice video mate!

I still have the physical version but I also added the game for FREE to my PS game library during the "Stay at Home" event.😊 I really enjoyed my first run to the platinum trophy but I never launched it for a new game+. Maybe I will give a try on the PS5 Pro ! 😉

Yes I've actually converted to preferring digital versions of games. I find the noisy PS5 drive very distracting when it does that 'check' thing it has to do by spinning up periodically. Definitely give it a whirl on the Pro! Can't wait to see it!

@@honestrob I was able to get a PS5 disc drive for the PS5 Pro, the day the PS5 Pro was officially announced and the compatibility with the disc drive confirmed. 😉 I'm still 50/50 physical and digital, that's why I wanted a disc drive for the PS5 Pro. I still have a huge disc collection on PS4/PS5 and would have been very frustrated to not have the option on the Pro. I was never really disturbed by the noise of the PS5 disc drive. I can hear it only when I launch a game and I rarely hear it after even during long session. 😉

I actually started this game a few months back after finishing FFVII: Rebirth. I had just gotten to the part where Aloy is an adult. In my head, I had a hunch that the game would get remastered, so I stopped playing. And now here we are! Would playing this and Forbidden West back to back be overkill/exhausting?

Yes because although HZD is like a 40-60hr experience, HFW can take upwards of 100hrs to fully experience. HFW also changes the mechanics making weapon/armor upgrades more conplicated/grindy. HZD is a more streamlined experienced and I think you will find the story more enjoyable. HFW is a very good game, but HZD is the gold factor so far in this series.

That was a good hunch! The good thing about playing these kind of games back to back is, you stay 'in the zone' regarding gameplay and mechanics etc. The bad thing is, it can seem overkill and indeed exhausting and take away from the enjoyment. I did a similar thing with Uncharted - played all the games back to back one after the other... By the time I was done, I never wanted to climb anything every again in any game ever lol

@@DV-ou1yu Yes so far for me, HZD has been the most enjoyable to play. The first few hours of HFW did not captivate me and make me WANT to play more like HZD did - and agreed - the weapon making mechanics etc were fine in HZD and was worse in HFW. Looking forward to this Remaster!

In some of the pictures, it's probably the dynamic lighting that is affecting the side-by-side pictures, so Digital Foundry would have to sit there all day to get images that are very close to the new remastered version and original version , which I'm sure they don't have all that time to do overall a lot of improvements

One thing I will say about the remaster is the shadows look raised. When compared to the original the shadows are darker, giving more contrast which makes the game imo look better. I’m curious to see if it’ll look better at night time in the remaster. The reflections on the water look much better then the original though.

LG C9. It's a 65" OLED with HDMI 2.1 and I love it. I see no need to upgrade it until if and when it stops working. Really nice TVs at a great price. The trick with LG OLEDs is, always buy the model from the previous year to save a ton of money, and the difference in visuals is mostly negligible. If I remember correctly, the 9 series (B, C etc) were the first LGs to have HDMI 2.1, so anything onwards from that should be good!

I have to be honest. I was in the middle of my first playthrough and felt this game needed an uplift. I immediately bought the remaster upgrade on Steam as soon as it became an option. I refuse to touch the game again until i can download it. For now, I am all FFXV (first PC playthrough), Arkham Nights, Forza Horizon 4 (trying to unlock what i can before retailers can not sell anymore), Frostpunk 2 and Dystopika (Laid back Cyberpunk city builder/painter. I am really looking forward to this

The game is released later today/tonight, but I am trying to wait for my PS5 Pro to arrive before playing it... I think that gyro aiming will indeed be Motion Aiming yes, but may take a look tomorrow 🙂

I am loving the way it looks. The change to her armor, with that popping color and the way the leather looks, I am going to enjoy this Whoever was playing the game is a terrible shot. He kept missing those Watchers. yes, if you have the PS4 version of the game, even without the DLC, you can get the complete edition for 10 quid/$10. If you use the disk to get the remaster, you have to have the disk in to play

No, but, if you have the PS4 disc version, you will need to keep the disc in the machine to play they may release a disc version later

@jonathanwessner3456 I don't follow? Its releasing as a standalone copy on a PS5 disc but also u can upgrade the PS4 version for $10 thru a download but using the PS4 disc to verify you own the game. But I'm wondering if the the PS5 disc has the actual remastered coding on the disc on the PS5 version. And not just the base game and you still have to download the visual update. Can't seem to find a answer online yet

KZbin compression doesn't help, and there are now different times of day lighting in the Remastered version which again, can change things, but I started playing the Remaster today and it is miles better when seen properly than in a video! 🙂

Currently playing this on PC with maxed out settings at native 3440x1440p no dlss no RT ultra widescreen @ avg 120 fps (580]X3D, RTX 3080). And I can tell you the original versio. Already looms stunning. No good idea why Sony would want to remaster this except for to make a quick profit from quick work. Would like to see them remaster a mich older game instead

Played this years ago on a 77" OLED HDMI 2.1 with 7.2.2 Atmos home theatre sound with HDR and 60fps (plenty for me). Was truly epic. I have a gaming PC but hate those ultra widescreen monitors. Not a fan of them myself, but handy for windows tasks. Can't wait for the PS5 Pro version for the New Game+ experience.

Nice set up. And I agree 6p fps on a tv is really all you need when your playing on a controller where you feel less of the input lag compared to a mouse. And sitting several feet away from the TV you don't need to play native res, upscaling should be sharp enough viewing a few feet away. I played this on a 34" curved VA panel at a distance of an arm reach away so it was super immersive wrapped around gameplay like that.

@@harissonbond7499 Sounds good! I have a similar set-up to davidjames and playing OLED with the lights off is great as there is no light bleed and with great sound feels very immersive too. But yep, wide monitor, good headphones will be a fantastic experience too which this games deserves 🙂

Most of the games I see getting remasters are worthless. Legacy of Kane remaster is a massive substantial graphical leap and is a good thing ever received a remastered . That came out three years ago that still relevant doesn’t need to remaster . It’s a lazy way to PS five number of games on launch

i still don't see it tbh. if the game wasn't available on a modern system...sure go for it. but this here is just a graphics update. nothing more. the content, the story, the gameplay. everything exactly the same. and the more people that cave for this (upradepath or buying it new alike) the more remakes they will make instead of new, original content.

I think because it's people's fav game, and many people play their fav games over and over again because of the gameplay, they probably welcome the remasters. On top of that, remasters are used for purposes of seeing how far it can be taken and whatelse can be implemented in the games. For example, seeing the water reflections and detailed graphics, allows a person to be more immersed. So, when you play the game again in an improved form with better quality of graphics and audio, it excites the gamer all over again. And of course, devs can take this experience and use it for those new games that you want, and know what will work, and what will not. It's like, taking an already existing blueprint and seeing whatelse can be done with it, and how far you can take it. Then it's easier to use that same blueprint to create new games easier and faster. If that makes sense.
