So much to see as well. Just seek advice on where its safe to swim if you get up north. Australia is a very safe country if you follow a few guidelines but we do have some very dangerous marine life in northern Qld. Most towns have an information centre and most Aussies are happy to advise friendly visitors. Stay safe and have an absolute blast guys. Sailing the harbour is the the jewel of Sydney. Cruising if the breeze is too light. If you're in town this weekend both options and a race on Sunday are available. Put your hand up if you want onboard. In the Summer and Autumn pulling up for a swim at Spring Cove, Store Beach or Rose Bay is a joy.

(Bondi = bon-dye, a name used by early Indigenous Aussies, thought to be inspired by the noise of breaking waves in the beach). There are two Coogee's in Oz, one in Sydney and one in Melbourne, to make it more challenging each beach is pronounced slightly differently, Sydney-siders tend to pronounce the beach something like Could(the word)+gee. Hope you had fun!

This! This is how you endear yourselves to Australians. Just being so enthusiastic (when you must've been exhausted). Lived in Sydney now for 40 years, and it's sometimes easy to forget what a beautiful city we live in. You will cop a bit of good-natured ribbing for some of your pronunciations, but don't worry about it. Aussies tend to make fun of people they like. Just fyi, Bondi is pronounced Bon-DYE. Coogee is COULD-jee. But just have a crack at any place name. Aussie's would have the same problem with Boerne, Nacodoches or Waxahachie

Welcome to my neighborhood. I live in one of the towers in your video. I walk those streets, often have a wine and listen to music at the Opera Bar, and have seen many performances in the Opera House. You should have gone inside. I have driven and walked over the bridge too many times to count. Taken those ferries, been to all those places. Swam in the Icebergs pool. I came to Sydney in 1975, loved it so much I never left.

We say it's full of people who want to be seen or drunk European backpackers who also don't play by the rules don't touch what isn't yours. A lot of petty crime, mainly theft, not indicative of Aussie beach culture. Too crowded anyway. Most other beaches will only have friendly locals without the worry of becoming an unfortunate victim.

Welcome down under. If you (no doubt) decide to go to the Blue Mountains, make sure you go see the ANVIL ROCK, and do it after 1pm on a sunny day if possible! Sure visit some of the other lookouts but the ANVIL takes the cake! Also look to driving the Royal National Park and down the south coast. Plenty of places to stop and look. If you want a taste see how I took Rob and Charlie of "Charlie & Rob - As We Are" and look for the outer Sydney vlogs that I took them on. Let me know here where else you are headed and I'll drop you some advice - as I have traveled...Enjoy !

Burleigh heads is lovely, as is: Sandgate, Redcliffe, Malooloobah, Coolum, Maroochydore, Yamba, Noosa is nice but WAY TOO overcrowded - don't say we didn't warn you, Rainbow beach and Inskip Point - gorgeous!, Bundaberg, Agness Water - 1770, Yeppoon, Sarina, Airlie Beach - go to the reef from here. Townsville and Magnetic Island, Mission Beach. Give Cairns a miss, Kuranda, and unless you have a 4WD I'd skip the rest. Port Douglas is for the Japanese only - way too expensive.

Welcome to Sydney. Hope you manage to see a few other places while in Australia. Sydney is a key tourist spot but there is plenty more to see. As for beaches, there are 10, 685 beaches in Australia and it would take you 27 years if you visited a different one every day. As it is your first trip you probably would only get to see a small minute amount of touristy things in Australia, and not get to really travel. It not only costs a lot to get to Australia from the northern hemisphere but most Aussies go to Bali for holidays because domestic flights and accommodation are so high. I never heard of that movie with Mary Kate and Ashley. Had to look it up. Sadly the Opera House is one of the 34 Satanic buildings about to be demolished around the world in this war we have been in with the cabal. Other famous landmarks about to be taken down are the White House, Buckingham Palace, Vatican, Statue of Liberty and the Vanderbilt home and many others. I haven't got the list with me. There will be a global EBS soon and martial law worldwide and people will find out all about the 4 wars we have been in - galactic, underwater, underground and COVID. Oh and the real Biden was never your president. He and his son were in Gitmo and executed back in 2018. Different actors played him like Jim Carey and James Woods, and even a robot.

You should have heard me back before I learned to pronounce "Cairns". There would be no blood left, and you might start leaking tomato sauce instead 😂. We have learned how to pronounce them properly now haha, and will try the tomato sauce next time, but honestly I just thought they gave us the tomato sauce because people think American's put ketchup on everything. The pies were so good without it!

G’day, Glad to hear you’re on top of the pronunciations, if ever in doubt, ask a local, ask one of us Aussies, we are very helpful, yes? Don’t worry, you aren’t the only Mericans who does this (do you know the proper way to say Melbourne or Brisbane for example?). And yes, tomato sauce is compulsory on a ‘standard’ meat and gravy meat pie (you haven’t had a pie until the meat, gravy and tomato sauce drips down your hand, and you lick it off!). You’ll probably notice that modern meat pies also come in all sorts of ‘gourmet’ fillings, tandoori chicken for example (not all pies require tomato sauce). And no, we don’t go out of our way to give Merican tourists sauce either, in Oz we have Tomato, BBQ and Ketchup sauce, a good selection, just depends on what you’re eating as to which sauce works best. I truly had no idea that Australian English pronunciations would be so different from American English pronunciations 😂. I had a kindy teacher (my mom) with me and everything so I felt confident in my ability to read haha. I do know how to say them now thanks to some helpful comments!
