I've found two shinnies (as far as I'm aware). I've never really been interested in hunting them, but I've played a lot and have happened upon a couple in the wild. First time I didn't even know what they were, but I happened upon a wild Clamperl with a purple shell. I was surprised and confused, but thought it was petty cool and was probably rare as I'd never come across one before, so I caught it (and named it Purple Shell 'cause... well it's why I caught it after all). Now I know about them, I'm obviously very glad I made that decision. The second one was far more recent. It was the first time I came across that species, so obviously I caught it but because of that I had no idea it was shiny as I didn't know it's normal colouration. I noticed a red star and figured it out from Googling what that meant. I don't particularly want it, so I'm considering trading it for something rare I do want.
